Chapter 3: The Fight.

                                                                  The Fight

(Lukas’s  P.O.V)

        Mark and I found our mate,our MATE.Mate.Mate.That’s all I could think about.She was our mate,our other half,our world,our everything.She was still warming up to us,which was good,Mark hoped that she would be marked by us,but sadly not yet,I mean it could be worse.

        When we were at Alexandra's old house her aunt Maris,told her that it took Alexandra at least 3 or for years to even talk to her,but to be fair her wolf probably knew that living with her aunt would be bad,her wolf may not have been awaken but she most likely still gave her the intuition.We were so glad when we saw Alexandra,her wonderful scent filled our nose,that’s mostly why we decided to sit at the end of the table,to be closer to her scent.We thought that she might have been our mate,but we had to be sure.Now we are,we were so happy until,she passed out in our arms,we realized that she was stronger than we imagined.She has to let more energy out,good thing our school is werewolf safe,we both hoped,thinking she was sick or maybe her powers overcame her.We picked her up looking at her face we carried her to the pack doctor,we are a pack and not at the same time.Mark was holding her close waiting for the nurse,he finally couldn’t take it anymore,he got up and stormed out of the room gently handing Alexandra to me.

          “Keep her warm,and if she wakes up mind link me.”he said while walking out,he honestly thought I wouldn’t keep her warm,she was my mate,I would rather die than see her cold.I mind linked my brother.

     Just mind link the doctor it would take longer to find him.He could be in the house, the acres of woods or anywhere on the grounds.

    Oh yeah,your right,I was just worried I wasn’t thinking.

    It’s okay she just needs a check up,she’s strong,we’ve seen her power.Plus now that we're know were mates we can help her if needed.I reassured him,he came into the room and sat in front of Alexandra,he laid his head on her lap,his eyes glazed over,a minute or two later the doctor came in.He bowed towards us then glanced towards Alexandra.                                                     

           “Who is the-”suddenly Alexandra's hair fell into sight,his eyes widened with shock,he was captivated by her hair.His eyes suddenly looked back to us.

           “The future queen and Luna.”he said in awe.We nodded.He motioned for us to lay her down on the hospital bed.I almost had to pull Mark off of her,he didn’t want to leave her,we both knew that we had to talk in private outside.

           “I’ll send in my apprentice,he can make sure she’s okay,while you 2 our gone.”the doctor said kindly.We nodded before the apprentice went into the room closing the door.

(Alexandra’s P.O.V)

     My head hurt and I smelled my mate's scent on me, mostly Mark’s.I slowly opened my eyes to find a man looming over me,I moved back away from him.

       “Oh,no need to be afraid,i’m the pack apprentice.I was trying to see what the best way would be to get a x-ray.But now your awake so it’ll be easier.Now stand up please,and walk towards this machine.”he said.She didn’t trust him,his eyes were not kind,he had other intentions.She knew it.She did as he said though thinking that she was paranoid.She stood in front of the big machine,like he said.

       “Now,take off your shoes,and clothes.”he said.What?

       “I’ve never had an x-ray,but i’m certain you don’t take off your clothes.And if you do you would have to leave,and my mates would have to be in here.”she said to him squinting.

      “Trust me,just take off your clothes.”he said a little agitated,he turned around to get something.

      RUN!NOW!Shadow yelled at me.

     He’s most likely a lot faster then me,I can’t out-run him.I told her

    Think of me in my half form.We can shift into that form.she said to me I did,I felt my bones c***k and stretch,it shot a pain through me every 2 or 3 bones,but in a few seconds,I was a shadow wolf,a mixture of red and blue.She ran until,she found her mates,they looked down in shock,the apprentice was following behind her,rage forming on his face.

(That’s what she looked like as her wolf.)

     “What are you doing here?”Lukas asked.She shifted behind them,she felt eyes on her,she turned and saw the apprentice looking at her with l**t in his eyes she made a earth barrier between them.She glared at him,the boys saw this and they roared in rage,they used their elemental powers to send him to the dungeons.Their wolves furious,their eyes turned red from rage,then saw that Alexandra was standing behind a mere barrier of grass and roses.Mark took off his overcoat,and handed it to her,she accepted it and stepped out of her little barrier.They both pulled her in for a hug.

      “What happened?”Mark asked worriedly.She didn’t want to talk. She was really tired,yet energized,so she asked her wolf to explain it.

       I am Shadow,Alexandra's wolf.She is tired,so I shall explain,Alexandra snuggled into Mark’s chest breathing in his scent.We were waking up when we saw a man looming over us,we were startled so we scooted back,he said we needed a x-ray.We didn’t trust him,he said to stand in front of the machine,he told us to take off our clothes we said no,and even if we did he would have to leave and our mates would have to be there.He was clearly mad,then he turned around so we shifted and then we ran,and found you two.The 2 boys were clearly furious.

And we are fine,we just needed to shift for the first time and let out some energy.She added before going back into Alexandra's mind,she wanted to sleep and Alexandra wanted to go home.

    Home,please. Alexandra mind linked both of them,she was picked up and carried bridal style,she wrapped her arms around Mark’s neck snuggling into his neck.

  Home,puppy,home.They both mind linked her.They went home and mind linked their father to tell him what happened,a few minutes later he came in,pale.He took Alexandra’s hand,he looked so mad and worried and the same time.She was really shocked and at the same time she was grateful someone cared.

          “Are you okay,Alexandra?I swear I'll have him killed for this.Did he touch you or anything?”he asked worriedly and furious at the same time.

      I’m fine,and he only looked,thank you.You know that you don’t have to kill him,especially because of this.She told him,he looked surprised and then joyous,he picked her up and held her close.

     You can mind link!This is spectacular!Especially since you just awakened your wolf,how long have you been able to mind link?He asked her with proud eyes shining down on her.

    Um...I don’t know.I just knew I could.She told him sheepishly.Could you put me down please?He looked a little sheepishly,he put her down.She just was immediately picked up by Mark and put on the bed and they snuggled,then Lukas crawled in with them on the other side of her.Mr.Thomas left,and they laid there,content.

  Movies and popcorn?Mark mindlinked the three of them.

 Yeah.Lukas replied.

 Sure.Alexandra replied.They all laid down on the couch and cuddled and watched a movie,Alexandra was still a little shook,but she was always good at keeping a poker face.

        “You guys never told me when school started.When does it?”She asked curiously,they both looked at her with sad eyes.

      “It’s too comfortable with you here.Do we have to go to school?”Mark said sorrowfully.Lukas nodded.

     “I’ve missed eighteen years of proper education,I barely know anything.I only know history from 1867 to 2000.That’s not that much,and then I know as much as a highschool student knows in english.About as much as a senior knows in math.As much as a senior in science.So,yes I have to.”she said nonchalantly,they both looked at her like she was a madman.

    “And you think that isn’t a lot,well,maybe a little low in english,but that’s still a lot.How do you even know that much in such a complex subject?”Lukas asked incredulously.

    “A lot of reading and studying.I usually have a lot of time on my hands.My aunt didn’t mind if I went to my room as long as I stayed quiet,and did my chores.So I had a lot of time,I was always fast to finish everything she had given me to do.”she told them feeling a little tired.

   “Fine.School starts tomorrow,so we should get some sleep,and we have uniforms too.We tried to get your size then dad told us he already got it for you.”Mark chimed in.They all were watching a movie when a bell chimed,alerting them that dinner was ready,they had been eating from a Mexan truck for the past few days.Tonight they were going to eat what the cooks were cooking,they had to eat from the truck while the kitchen was being fixed after the fire.

     “So,do I need to wear anything special?”Alexandra asked,almost nervous as they descended the steps.The boys stopped and looked towards her like they were trying to defuse a bomb.

    “No,why would you need to change for dinner?”Lukas asked.She flushed at her mistake.They could barely notice her blush,Lukas chuckled a little,but Mark’s eyes started to turn black,Alexandra noticed and she went towards him,he was staring at her with love and affection,she wanted to know why his eyes were black.

  Why are your eyes black?Alexandra asked while stepping towards him.

  I need to hold you,can I?Mark asked, his hand twitching with the need to hold her.

 Sure,you know you don’t have to ask,right?Plus if you do my wolf will give me a migraine in a matter of seconds.She said while Mark wrapped her up in his arms,holding her tight,she looked into her eyes unable to look away.

(Mark’s P.O.V)

   She has the best facial expressions,I had been holding back as much as I could,but her flushing set me off,I had to hold her,I wanted her in my arms,I wanted her to be mine in every way possible.

  She said we didn’t have to ask!She likes us!I want to meet her true wolf,not that half form!Can we ask? My wolf Damian asked,he was running around with his tail wagging rapidly.

  What do you mean true form?I asked.

  You seriously think that wolf we saw in the hospital was her true form?

  Yes,why wouldn’t she show us her true form,though?She trusts us though,doesn’t she?Plus how would you know that that wasn’t her wolf form?

  Her wolf,Shadow,called to me and Nick,and told us why she didn't show her true form.It’s really powerful,so if she uses it,it’ll cause an explosion,that could hurt a lot of people,and it’s like locked up right now.

  Well how do we unlock it?

  By marking her,that’s what Shadow said,she also said to not tell her that.She doesn’t want her to know yet,not until we all know each other more and to where we get to the point of marking.

  Does she know how long that would take to get to that point?

  Alexandra isn’t at the point of marking but she wouldn't mind kissing,and she’s even made suggestions of it,she’s been flirting to,leaving subtle hints but you wouldn’t know that would you.You’ve been so oblivious to it.I wanted to say something to you but I thought you would notice,obviously I was wrong.

 Wait,she’s been flirting!?How!?

 She’s been staring at our mouth and l*****g her lips.She wants to kiss you,she LIKES you!She WANTS you!I could say the same about her feelings towards Lukas.

 So I could kiss her right now and she wouldn’t care?

 You could,yes.In fact you should.If not i’m going to take control and do it myself.

 Don’t worry i’ll do it myself.

(Alexandra’s P.O.V)

I was standing in Mark’s warm embrace.Then suddenly he grabbed my face and kissed me.He kissed me.Kissed me.Kissed.Me.

 Yes,he did you’ve been flirting with him and you didn’t think he would kiss you?Shadow said sarcastically,while revealing the feel of the kiss.I was surprised when she said I was flirting.

 How was I flirting!?

 That doesn’t matter,kiss him back!She said hotly.Alexandra leanded in further deepening the kiss,he growled and kissed her harder,holding her closer.She felt as though someone was staring at them,she opened her eyes and saw Lukas staring at them,she totally forgot he was there.She pushed Mark away a little,he let go and they held each other, panting.Lucas came up and kissed her possessively,Mark started to kiss her neck from behind.Lukas picked her up because her legs started to wobble a little,she wrapped her legs around his waist,Mark was following,his eyes still a pitch black.

(Lukas’s P.O.V)

We were on our way to dinner when Mark started kissing our mate,I could only watch she just stood there for a second obviously talking to her wolf,then she closed her eyes and leaned forward and deepening the kiss.I was shocked,I was trying to calm down my wolf,Nick,he was trying to surface.

 Mine!He yelled in my mind.

 Ours!We share with Mark.

 Why?It’s not fair!I don’t want to share!

 I know,but we have to.

 Claim her.

 No.We don’t even know if she wants us.Very much less if she wants to be marked!

 Then kiss her,at least,please!It hurts that he’s kissing her.His wolf pleaded.

 I-fine.He finally gave in to his wolf,his possessiveness. 

(Alexandra’s P.O.V)

I don’t want to go this far,yet.And I know you don’t either.Shadow pleaded.

 Your right,maybe they just want to get out of the middle of the hallway.

I’m telling their wolves,they’ll listen.And they’ll keep this like this.

 Okay,please.

(Shadow’s P.O.V)

 Nick,Damian.Tell your humans to keep this like this.

 What do you mean?Damian asked,his ears going down a little.

 Did we go too far?Nick asked, his ears also going down,too.

 My human doesn’t want to go too far,she doesn’t mind the kissing,just tell them to keep things like this,don’t let them go too far,please.Shadow pleaded,her ears were all the way down.They nuzzled her,trying to make her happy.

(Nick’s P.O.V)

Don’t go too far!She doesn’t want to go too far,you can keep kissing and stuff but not to go any further.

 I-does she feel as though were forcing her into this?He said shocked and worried.

I don’t know exactly how she feels,but her wolf called out to me and Damian and told us.Please just keep it at this pace,please.

 Of course!Whatever she wants!He cut the connection.Now time to talk to Shadow.

 I talked to my human,he said that he wouldn’t go farther than she wanted.Hopefully she’ll have her ears up,I love her ears,they're so soft.

 Thank you,Nick!My human will be relieved now.

 What do you mean relieved,does she not want us!?I felt my ears go down at the thought that our mate didn’t want us.

 NO!That’s not it!Not at all!She’s just young,and she wants to just take things at a normal pace!She said quickly.Good,our mate does want us.

(Damian’s P.O.V)

Mark!

 What?

 Take things slower,no going that far!She doesn’t want to go that far!

Wait-does she not want us,is she going to reject us!?He said while he faltered a little and almost falling on top of her on the bed he was kissing her while Lukas was kissing her neck.He started to kiss her with urgency,he felt his eyes starting to water.

 No!She just doesn’t want to go too far,she’s young,and she wants to take things slower,don't go too far!

 Of course!I want to make sure she’s safe.If she doesn’t want to go any further that’s fine,doe Lukas know?

 Yes,Shadow talked to both of us,and we’ve been talking and stuff.  

Ok.Wait,you can talk to Shadow?You can’t talk to anyone who isn’t in the pack.

 She’s our mate,and Alexandra is very powerful,so we can talk whenever we please.

 That’s,well,that’s good I guess.

 Of course it’s good.

(Alexandra’s P.O.V)

We have to stop,we have to go to dinner.

No,we don’t have to,but we could.I talked to Damian and Nick and they talked to Mark and Lukas.They won’t go too far,they promised,they would like to continue this though,but I can tell them to stop.

 No,this is okay,but no further.

Ok.Thank you.

 Just then the boys stopped for a minute so they could all catch their breath.

       “Did we go too far?If we did we deeply apologize.”Lukas said while snuggling closer to her,inhaling her scent.

      “No,it’s okay,but didn’t we have to do something before we came here?”Alexandra asked thinking.Suddenly the door opened,and the king came in.

      “So what have you three been doing for the past 30 minutes.Huh?”Mr.Thomas said,looking at them,like they were in serious trouble,Alexandra cowarded a little.

     “We were handling things and seeing where we were in this relationship.”Lukas said,his voice muffled.Alexandra blushed a little at the word relationship.

     “Ok,well come on,it’s time for dinner,and your party.And all your guests are here,and Alexandra you have an outfit in the closet that you should wear to the party.”Alexandra looked at the boys as though asking for an explanation.They looked bewildered,they looked towards their father,who was already walking away.

     “I completely forgot about the party!Shoot!Wait-oh god Nathan going to be there.”Mark exclaimed.

     “What are we going to do!?”Lukas asked in desperation.

     “Who is Nathan?”Alexandra chimed in.

     “That doesn’t matter,right now.How about you change and we’ll meet you downstairs.”Mark said.

  Ok,that’s totally not suspicious.

  Totally not.Replied Shadow.Alexandra changed into a long sleeve black crop top,with a black skirt with gray stripes that went to her mid-thigh,black leather boots that went to her calf,she had a black choker on.She had the maids do her make up they gave her a smokey eye,and blood red lipstick.She started to descend the stairs.

  Why would anyone pick this out for me,I mean I like it, it's just so different.

  Yeah,but you look hot.

  Your welcome,Alexandra.She got to the top of the steps and all eyes turned to her,they were all boys.

  Alexandra!What are you wearing?!Mark asked through the mind link as she descended down the steps.Most of the boys mouth were a gape.She felt herself being watched.

  I don’t know this was what was in the closet.I did as they said,and then the maids did my make-up and sent me out.

 Come here,please.Lukas called her and made her way through the boys to her mates,they engulfed her in a hug hiding her from all eyes,they stayed like that until the music started up and everyone started dancing again.

 Puppy,we have to go help dad real fast get to know the people here,they are going to be your classmates,if one of them bothers you walk away and come find us ok?Lukas said before leaving.As soon as they left a guy came up to her.

  “Hey,cutie.What’s your name?”

  Bite him,shift and bite him.

  No,not yet.Shadow growled in her head but lightened up when she said yet.

    “One:Don’t call me that.Two:I’m taken.Three:f**k off.”She replied sweetly.

    “Oh,feisty.I like it.And if you're taken,where is your mate?”He asked.

    “Leave.Me.Alone.”She said while glowering at him.

    “How about this,we fight,if I win then one night you and me.”

   “What do I get if I win?”She asked him, glaring at him.

   “I’ll leave you alone.And i’ll never bother you again.”He said.

    “Deal,outside.”He nodded and they went outside,they went behind some trees to undress and shift.

 What form?Shadow asked.

 What do you mean?We only have one form.Alexandra asked timidly.

Do you not remember the hospital,I said that that was our half form.Definitely not our full form,how about shadow form or maybe the water form?

 I-I don’t know,can you choose?

Sure.She replied smugly,looking devious.They started shifting and when Alexandra stepped out from behind the tree her wolf was a black,shadowy wolf,she had tendrils of shadows swirling around her.There were scattered gasps and murmurs around the yard.The boy stepped out from behind his tree only to cower at the sight of her wolf which stood a bit over his.He quickly composed himself and got into a fighting stance.

 He’s really stupid,you should’ve told him you studied and practicied fighting.Shadow told Alexandra,while smiling like a madman.

 Well that’s not my fault,he shouldn't have picked a fight with us.It’s his funeral.

 Wow,you’ve got a dark side.

 You think.They started to circle each other,he made the first move,lunging for her throat.She dodged and bit his leg drawing blood and left his leg with a huge bite mark.He whimpered,and then he lunged for her neck.

 This is really boring,i’m going to finish this.Alexandra told her wolf.

 Don’t kill him.She replied.

 I won’t.Maybe.She caught him by the neck,slamming him down on the ground,his neck in her mouth,he squirmed and she bit harder on his neck,until finally he stopped and she released him.She went back behind the tree and shifted back and dressed,still looking like she did when she first came down,she was scared she might have messed up her make-up.

     “Now,do you understand when someone says no,they mean it?”She asked sweetly.

     “Yes.”he replied.She walked off,wanting to find her mates.

(Lukas’s P.O.V)

My brother,Mark, and I went to talk to our father,seeing if we could stop this party,and spend what little time we have left with our mate,Alexandra.

 Dude,stop worrying about it we will still have time with her.Mark said,interrupting my thoughts.

 No,she won’t.She’s not an alpha,she doesn’t have our strength nor speed.Her training will take longer then us and a lot longer,than homework,and then she’ll most likely want to do some extra classes.Then we won’t get a lot of time with her.

 What about when she’s at home with us?

 She’ll have homework,then her wolf is super playful,so she’ll want to play outside,and then she’ll be around all those other boys,and her wolf will want shower to get the smell off of her fur.

 Ok,valid points,but she’s still our mate.She’ll spend time with us,we just have to ask her to take some time for us,she’ll most likely oblige,unless she has like a ton of homework,because she loves school,but when she’s finished she’ll spend time with us.

 I hope so.We arrived at our fathers office,we knocked. He shouted a come in,with clear tiredness in his voice.

       “What can I do for you?”He said brightly when we walked in.

       “We would like to end this party.”Mark and I said in union.

       “Now,why wou-”He was cut off by the sounds of cheering and gasps from outside,we both looked out and saw a pair of wolves circling each other.We saw a tan one and a shadowy one,our wolves were screaming in our mind that that was our mate,Alexandra,we both knew,but they wanted to help her.That was before she bit at his leg leaving blood leaking from his leg,we all stood there in shock.It looked as though Alexandra was getting bored so she decided to end this fight,she lunged and caught him by the throat slamming him to the ground,she went behind the tree shifting back and dressing we stood there in shock and only closed our mouths when she came out with a little stream of blood coming down the side of her mouth,her eyes blood red.My brother,father,and I had the same thought:vampire.She came towards the house,looking from side to side,as though she was looking for someone.That someone better be us,Nick said,his face in between shock,amazement,and anger.We saw her walk into the house,I felt my wolf take over,he mind linked her.

  Mate!

  Lukas?

  No,I'm not human,I'm Nick.Lukas’s wolf.

  Oh,hi,Nick!

  Who are you looking for?

  Lukas and Mark.Do you know where they are?

  Yes,they will meet you in your bedroom.

  Oh,ok.Tell them thank you,please.

  I will,mate.See you soon.

  Goodbye,Nick.With that Nick cut off the mind link.

  Go to her bedroom.He demanded.I told my brother,he wanted to go.

        “My wolf told Alexandra that we would meet her in her room.And i’m sorry to cut this short,but we don’t want to keep her waiting.Do you mind if we leave?”I asked our father.He chuckled.

      “Of course,she’s your mate.Don’t ask if you can go see her,just do it.”With that he let us leave. We raced to our mates room,wwe wanted to ask her why she was fighting,and where she learned to fight,but not before we praised her.

(Mark’s P.O.V)

 Our mate is so good at fighting!My wolf Damian said excitedly,jumping around in my mind.

 Of course she is,she’s perfect.

 I want to see mate,we need to go faster!

 If we do we’ll probably mess up the carpet.We’re almost there.

 Ok.He replied grumply.We were almost to our mates room,we smelled her intoxicating smell,it was the best smell ever,jasmine,smoke,and a little bit of vanilla.We got to her room,stopping when we saw her sitting on the bed,playing with her hands.She looked so cute,then we looked up and saw her beautiful face.We saw the streak of blood on the side of her face,and remembered how deadly she could be.Deadly and dangerous one minute,then cute and beautiful,I like it.

(Alexandra’s P.O.V)

I came and sat in my room after talking to Nick,and started playing with my hands,not knowing what to do.

  That was a little boring.Shadow told me.

  I thought he was going to be good,but that was just sad.

 Yeah,mates!I smell mates,thier coming close!She said jumping and looking ecstatic.I was excited and happy too,a little anxious though,because I fought.They came into the room,and I looked up and they looked happy and proud at the same time,Lukas came over to me and hugging me while pulling me beside him while I could hear him inhaling my scent.Mark got a tissue,and wiped something off the side of my face I looked at the tissue seening blood,I looked a little guilty.

    “What’s wrong,why do you look guilty?”Mark asked gently cradling my face.

    “I fought someone.I know you probably don’t like that in girls,but I had to,or my wolf would’ve gone crazy,and-”I said quickly.

    “Shhh.It’s okay,were not mad were happy that you can fight,and your our mate,we love everything about you.”He said with such sincerity in his voice,she had to hug him,she was so happy,she wanted to stay like this forever.

    “So whyy did you fight?”Lukas asked into my neck.

    “Well,he was hitting on me I said I had mates,he said that he didn’t believe me,he challenged me after I told him to leave me alone,so we fought,I won.”I told them stroking their hair when they started to growl.They seemed to be at ease when I did that,still mad but calm.Lukas hit a button on the side of the dresser,a few seconds later a guard came in.

    “What can I do for you?”he sked kindly.

    “Can you get all of those people out,please?”Mark asked muffled by my shirt.

    “Yes,sir.”the guard left and Lukas fell asleep immediately,I was tired and almost asleep,until Mark changed me,with his magic,I kissed him on the ceek muttering a thanks,he got the blanket and crawled ina nd covered all three of us,falling asleep.I had a dreamy night about what school would be like with my mates.
