He was talking to my brother Sem when he suddenly turned and looked at me. That was the moment I understood that he was my mate. He started walking towards me and took my hand and walked in packs house direction.

When we where inside he turned and signed. Julie I new you for many years it is just absurd that you are my mate.

Rejection?
Chapter one Julia's pov As I walked through the dense forest, I could feel the weight of my pack's judgment bearing down on me. Their whispered taunts and mocking laughter had become an all-too-familiar backdrop to my daily life. "Move f****g loser, you are blocking our view, get lost. Okay just relax! I'm going already". I'd heard it all before, and it no longer stung as much as it once did. Being different in a pack that prided itself had made me an outcast. In our pack, all kids and even adults have brown or blonde or a mixture of both hair, but my hair is silver, long and wavy. And it doesn't help that my eyeshade is ocean blue. It is rare to have this shade. In the Raven Pack, young wolves begin their training at an early age, as soon as they can stand and walk on their own. It was a fundamental part of their upbringing, instilling essential skills that would enable them to contribute to the pack's survival. From the moment they could shift into their wolf forms, they were taught to run, hunt, and follow the pack's traditions. Julia's childhood in the pack had been a challenging one. As a child, she struggled to keep up with the other kids during training. She couldn't match their speed or agility, and her inability to shift into her wolf form only intensified her scene of isolation. The other young wolves often teased and bullied her, using her uniqueness as a target for ridicule. They'd call her names like "Moon witch" and would make cruel remarks about her silver hair and her inability to shift. One day, while they were learning hunting techniques, the bullying reached its peak. A group of young wolves surrounded Julia, taunting her mercilessly and pushing her around. The insults grew harsher, and tears welled up in her eyes. She felt utterly alone. That was when her older brother, Sam, came to her rescue. Sam had always been protective of Julia. With a fierce growl, he confronted the bullies and demanded that they leave his sister alone. Sam's presence made the young wolves back down. They ran away, casting resentful glances in Julia's direction. Sam stood by her side, his dark brown fur bristling with a protective instinct that radiated from his very being. Julia was grateful for her brother's intervention and hugged Sam, as a way of expressing her love. Sam became her protector and confidant. As for Sam, he had always been a charismatic and natural leader within the pack. He was known for his strength and confidence, even as a young wolf. While he cared deeply for his pack and its traditions, he also had a strong sense of protection when it came to his family. He was seen as a rising star among the young wolves. Julia's POV. Even my physical features didn't match those of my family, making me question my role in the pack even more. Today was a day of celebration in our pack. The atmosphere was festive, filled with laughter and the scent of roasted meat. It was during the celebration that something unexpected happened. A scent as sweet as peppermint filled the air, drawing my attention. As I followed it, my gaze met Mike, a close friend of mine. He was in an earnest conversation with my brother, Sam. But when Mike's eyes locked onto mine, an inexplicable connection sparked between us. As I was watching him, I remembered our first encounter. Julia's first encounter with Mike had been a faithful one. It happened when she was just a child, curious and wide-eyed, exploring the outskirts of the Raven Pack. Julia had ventured further than she'd ever gone before, her silver hair practically shimmering in the dappled sunlight that filtered through the dense canopy of the Blackwood forest. She had been distracted by the rustle of leaves and the intoxicating scent of wildflowers and soon found herself far from her family. Lost and alone, young Julia began to panic, unsure of how to find her way back. Her small, round eyes welled with tears as she let out a soft cry, the sound barely audible in the vastness of the woods. It was then that a figure emerged from the underbrush, a young wolf with a friendly face and kind, amber eyes. Mike, who was on his exploration, had heard Julia's distress and followed the sound to find her. With a gentle and reassuring presence, Mike approached Julia, his wagging tail and warm manner instantly putting her at ease. He could see that she was frightened and lost, so he began to nuzzle her and offer her comforting whimpers. Julia, still trembling, soon realized that this wolf was there to help her. She tentatively nuzzled back, and a spark of trust was ignited between them. With Mike's guidance, she was safely reunited with her family, who were immensely relieved to see her. From that day forward, Mike, Julia, and Sam became fast friends. Their bond was formed through that first chance encounter in the depths of the Blackwood, and their friendship would grow true in other adventures. But as I was standing there indorsed in my memory, he approached me. With his hand in mine, he led me to the heart of the pack's gathering, a mixture of hope and unease in his eyes. "Julia, we've been friends for years," Mike began, his voice tinged with reluctance. "But it's hard for me to accept that you're my mate." His words cut deep. "Julia, I, the future alpha, can't be with a 'weakling' like you. I can't say I'm thrilled about you being my mate. Sure, we're friends, but that's it. Besides, you don't truly belong in our pack." Confusion coursed through me. "What are you talking about, Mike?" Mike hesitated, then regretfully withdrew, "Sorry, I didn't mean to say the last part. Forget it." Stunned by his words, I never imagined my mate and childhood friend would hurt me like this. "I don't think I'm the person to say this to you, Julia" I persisted, "No, you can't back out now, Mike." With reluctance, he continued, "Okay, but brace yourself, Julia. It's not going to be good news." Desperation fueled my response. "I don't care, Mike. Just say it." Mike sighed heavily, and then he dropped a bombshell that shattered my world. "Julia, do you remember the legend about a human child found in our pack's territory when we were younger? My memory flashed back to the stories of a human child discovered in our woods many years ago. "Yes, but what does that have to do with me?" Mike delivered the final blow, "Julia, you are that child found in the forest." Disbelief and anger surged through me. "No, it can't be. You must be joking, Mike. If you don't want me as your mate, just say so. There's no need for such a lie." But Mike was resolute, "I'm not lying, Julia. It's true. If you don't believe me, ask your parents, they were the ones who found you." Shocked and hurt, I couldn't understand why my mate and childhood friend would hurt me this way. "I need to hear this from my parents. We'll talk later, Mike." Mike didn't hesitate, delivering the final blow, "No, let's end it now. I, Mike Landen, reject you, Julia Raven, as my mate." Desperation gripped me, "Wait, are you serious?" In a broken voice, I accepted his rejection, "Okay, you got what you wanted. I, Julia Raven, accept your rejection, Mike Landen." Mike coldly concluded, "I hope we don't see each other again, Ex-mate." Tears welled up in my eyes, and I fled, not wanting Mike to see me cry. Anger and sadness roiled within me. Mike was my childhood friend. I couldn't fathom why he'd rejected me. Julia's heart was heavy with the sting of Mike's rejection as she walked through the crowded area of the pack's celebration. She kept her gaze fixed on the ground, trying to avoid the judgmental looks and whispers of pack members. As she navigated through the crowd, Julia heard someone call her name. She looked up to see a group of girls approaching. At the front of the group was Kate, a wolf who had been a tormentor in her life for as long as she could remember. Kate had always taken pleasure in making Julia's life miserable, and today was no exception. Kate's gang of friends followed her, giggling and whispering to one another as they closed in on Julia. The girls were all confident and athletic, matching the typical image of the pack's youth. They had always been envious of Julia's close relationship with Mike, which fueled their jealousy. "Look who we have here," Kate sneered, her friends echoing her laughter. "Julia, the little outcast, rejected by our future alpha. What a pathetic sight!" Julia clenched her fists, anger and frustration bubbling within her, but she knew better than to lash out. It was an unwritten rule in the pack that you didn't fight with pack members, especially in a public setting. Kate continued her taunts, "You thought you were something special, didn't you? Close to Mike, his best friend. But he saw through you, didn't he? You're nothing but a weakling, Julia." Julia's eyes welled with tears but refused to let them fall. She took a deep breath, trying to find the strength to respond." Kate, I don't want any trouble. Just leave me alone." Kate and her friends ignored her plea and moved closer, their mocking laughter growing louder. "Oh, she doesn't want trouble, girls. How sweet!" Kate's tone dripped with sarcasm." But it's too late for that, Julia. You see, we've been waiting for this moment for a long time." One of Kate's friends, a girl with fiery red hair, stepped forward, smirking." You know, we thought you were such a threat to our chances with Mike. Now that he's rejected you, we can finally show you who's in charge." Julia felt trapped, surrounded by the hostile pack members. She couldn't escape the humiliation and torment they were subjecting her to. As much as she wanted to fight back, she knew it would only make things worse. Amid the taunts and jeers, she couldn't help but think of Sam and how he had protected her when they were younger. But Sam was nowhere to be seen, and she had to face this torment alone. The bullying continued as a painful reminder of her status as an outcast in the pack and the bitterness that had taken root within some of her pack mates. Julia was determined to endure it, to prove that she wouldn't let their cruelty break her. Yet, deep down, she longed for the day when she could find her strength and acceptance among her pack members. As Kate and her gang continued to taunt and humiliate Julia, she felt an overwhelming sense of helplessness and anger. Their hurtful words seemed to echo in her ears, threatening to break her spirit. But Julia was not one to give in easily. She knew she had to find a way to escape the torment, and she quickly formulated a plan. Gathering her courage, Julia took a step back, putting a little distance between herself and the bullies. She scanned the area, looking for an opportunity to slip away from the relentless onslaught. It was then that she spotted a familiar face in the crowd. It was Mike, he had been watching the scene unfold from a distance, and the look on his face was a mixture of concern and regret. Julia locked eyes with him, silently pleading for his help, though she knew that he had rejected her, she wasn't sure if he would come to her aid, but she had to try. As Mike approached, Kate and her gang momentarily lost their confidence. His presence was a reminder of his status as the future alpha, and they didn't want to provoke his anger. Mike's voice held a hint of authority as he addressed them, "That's enough, Kate. Leave her alone." The bullies, cowed by Mike's words, hesitated for a moment. But then, Kate tried to save face by scoffing, "Fine, we were just having a little fun." She and her friends reluctantly backed away, giving Julia a brief respite from their torment. Mike turned to Julia, his expression a mix of guilt and concern. "Julia, are you okay?" Julia nodded, unable to speak as tears welled up in her eyes. She was grateful that Mike had intervened, but the pain of his rejection still lingered. Mike continued, "I'm sorry, Julia. I didn't want things to turn out this way." Despite her tears, Julia managed to respond, "It's okay, Mike. Thank you for helping me." As the bullies dispersed, and the crowd continued to celebrate, Julia knew that she had to find a way to heal from the emotional wounds she had suffered. She also knew that her journey was far from over, and she would have to face many more challenges in the future. But for now, she felt a glimmer of hope that she wouldn't have to face them alone. After the confrontation with the bullies, Julia felt emotionally drained, her heart heavy with a mix of pain and gratitude. She watched as the pack's celebration continued around her, the music and laughter providing a stark contrast to the turmoil within her. With a heavy sigh, Julia turned away from the gathering, her thoughts consumed by the rejection from Mike and the unrelenting cruelty of Kate and her gang. She walked away from the festivities, her steps taking her towards the outskirts of the pack territory. As she ventured deeper into the Blackwood forest, the solitude of the woods provided a comforting respite from the harsh realities of her life in the pack. The rustling leaves and the gentle caress of the wind against her silver hair offered a temporary escape from the pain that still lingered. Julia's mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions, and she knew she needed time to process what had happened. She considered returning home and seeking solace with her family, but the weight of the revelation about her true identity loomed large. She was afraid to disrupt the celebration of the Moon Goddess, a significant event for the pack, with her turmoil. So, she made a decision. Julia would wait until tomorrow to talk with her parents. She would let the celebration continue without interference, so she could gather the strength to face the truth about her past and her unique identity. With each step she took towards home, she could feel the presence of the forest and the whisper of the ancient trees offering their silent support. The moon hung high in the night sky, a symbol of hope and transformation, and Julia held onto the belief that she would find her path, despite the challenges that lay ahead. Julia arrived home, her heart still heavy, but with a newfound determination to confront her past and the mysteries it held. With her parents fast asleep, she knew it was time to rest and gather her strength for the day that awaited her. She closed her eyes, hoping that the dreams that would come would offer some solace and answers to the questions that had plagued her for so long. And so, in the stillness of the night, Julia Raven prepared herself for a new chapter in her life, a chapter that would reveal the truth about her past and the challenges that would shape her future. The soft rays of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm, golden hue across Julia's room. She laid in her bed, still wrapped in the cocoon of her thoughts and dreams. Today was a day she had been both anticipating and dreading - the day she would confront the truth about her past. With a deep sigh, she pushed the covers aside and sat up, her bare feet touching the cool wooden floor. Julia's room was decorated with elements of the forest, from the leafy patterns on her curtains to the paintings of the Blackwood trees that adorned her walls. It was a space where she could feel free. Julia stood up, her silver hair cascading down her back as she stretched her arms and yawned. She knew that there was no more time to waste, and the day's events awaited her. With determination, she approached the full-length mirror that stood against the wall. The reflection that stared back at her was a young woman with ocean-blue eyes that still held traces of the tears from the night before. Her unique appearance, the silver hair and distinctive eyeshade, marked her as an outsider within the pack. But today, she was determined to embrace her differences and face her destiny. Julia opened her wardrobe, selecting her attire for the day. She chose a simple forest green dress that was adorned with a pendant in the shape of a crescent moon, a symbol that holds deep significance for the pack. As she dressed, she couldn't help but wonder what the day will bring. Julia's preparations were complete, and she was ready to face the truth about her past. With one last glance in the mirror, she left her room, ready to begin a new chapter in her life. And so she moved to the kitchen where her parents were eating breakfast. "Mom, Dad, I need to ask you something. Can we talk?" They turned to me, concern etched on their faces. "What's the matter, sweetie?" my mom asked. Elli was known for her strength and unwavering loyalty to the pack. With her dark hair and brown eyes, she had a striking and regal presence. She was deeply committed to maintaining the traditions and harmony of the pack, serving as a pillar of support for the alpha and the pack's members. Elli was respected not only for her strong sense of responsibility but also for her compassion and kindness, which made her approachable to other pack members. As a beta, Elli was a trusted confidante to the alpha and played a pivotal role in decision-making and problem-solving within the pack. She often acted as a mediator during conflicts and disputes, ensuring that disputes were resolved in a fair and just manner. Despite her position of authority, Elli was a loving and caring mother to Julia. Her bond with her daughter was strong, and she had always wanted to protect Julia from the harsh reality. Elli's character is marked by a deep sense of maternal love and the desire to shield her children. Joe, Julia's father, brought a balanced perspective to his role as a beta in the pack. Unlike Elli, Joe had a hint of reddish hair and striking green eyes, making him easily recognizable within the pack. He was known for his calm manner and the ability to approach problems with logic and wisdom. Joe's strength laid in his strategic thinking, contributing to the pack's long-term planning and security. He was often involved in the tactical aspects of pack life, such as organizing patrols and ensuring the pack's territory remained safe. Joe shared Elli's deep love for their daughter, Julia. As parents, they worked together to provide Julia with a nurturing and supportive environment. Joe was the voice of reason in the family, often offering guidance and advice to Julia and Elli during challenging times. As betas and parents, Elli and Joe Raven were central figures in the life of the Raven Pack. Taking a deep breath, I asked, "Is it true that I'm the human baby you found in the woods?" Their faces paled, confirming my worst fears. "Sweetie , we wanted to tell you when the time was right, but it seems like you already found out. Yes, it's true. We found you in the woods, wrapped in a red blanket. It was so cold that we couldn't leave you there. We asked the alpha not to tell anyone about you, but somehow, the news spread. Luckily, the alpha managed to contain it before they realized it was you. But how did you find out?" My heart ached, and I confessed, "I overheard some girls talking during the celebration. They spoke about me being unable to fight or run like the others and speculated that I was a human child." My parents reassured me, "Sweetie, please listen. We knew from the beginning that you were human. There was a letter for you that we didn't read, but we think it's from your birth parents." Fear and curiosity battled within me as I contemplated opening that letter, desperate to uncover the secret of my past and the identity of my birth parents. As I stood there, my hands trembling, ready to open the long-forgotten letter that could reveal the truth about my past and my birth parents.
