Things were moving too fast. I wanted to ask the detective why the rush to arrest Ed, but he was busy giving instructions to his officers and didn't seem to have time for me.
"This isn't right, Peter. I can feel it in my bones. It doesn't make sense. After all these years of putting up with Krista’s irritating habits. Why would Ed snap now and kill her?"
"I wish I could give you an answer, Mac, but we don't know what transpired between Ed and Detective Byrd. Did Ed say something that made the detective suspicious? Something apparently happened back at the hotel, and along with Ed’s reaction to seeing his car, it clinched the detective’s response to bring him in for questioning."
