Chapter 14
Throughout the dinner, I kept looking for Krista, in subtle little ways, but she never showed. I had gone from being annoyed to being concerned. The woman liked to be in the limelight, so for her to miss even a small part wasn't like Krista. It was like she had vanished off the face of the earth. Even her husband didn’t have a clue as to where she was. And neither did any of her friends. Not even the actor she flirted so outrageously with in front of everyone.
The production ended on a good note, with everybody happy and excited, and promising that the entire set of performances would be just as good. We had four more productions to put on for the next two days, and judging from the first two, we would raise more money than our goal. It was easy to lose track of the fact there
