Cheskin was in his office, right where they expected to find him. He looked at the two of them for a moment before grabbing a gun from his desk and aiming it in their direction. “I thought you’d both be dead by now.”
Alec laughed. “You obviously have no idea who I am.”
“Yeah, I have an idea. You’re the i***t who blew up the guy we needed.”
“No, actually that was me, and had it been for Alec, no one would have been blown up.” Kaisa shrugged. “If you want someone to blame, then you should be blaming me. Not him.”
