“Alec, we have someone following us.” Hatchwater sounded worried. “It might be a hunter.”
Making a face, wishing that things worked faster when a bounty had been taken down, Alec stepped over to the window to look. “Probably is a hunter.” He raked a hand through his hair. “We have a choice, really. It would be possible for us to deal with him in the air or on the ground. Personally, I think the ground would be the better option.”
Kaisa, joining him, nodded. “How many of the stragglers are we going to have to deal with?”
“Probably only a couple more at most. It’s normally only the ones who don’t have as many connections with the Network who find themselves making mistakes like this one. He thinks we’re worth a lot of money. Should he manage to best us, he’ll find out otherwis
