START OF A NEW LIFE

Fast forward

After I graduated college, I started to find my direction. Where do I belong and what do I want in life. Throughout my college years, I discovered a lot from my experiences. But after that day, I started to put space from other people. I concentrated on the more important things which are studying and family.

I learned to distance myself from the things that are not that much important. I focused on studying and I finally found myself happy with the life I am in right now. I learned to distance myself from the things that are ruining my mind and not healthy for me. Although it is hard to forget the things that happened to me back in college from time to time I learned to accept things and realize not everything that you want to happen will appear. 4 years ago, I was Jane that can not escape from the fear of being alone.

I graduated college and now, I am trying to get experience. Lucas and I stopped talking. Brandon has his first baby with our teacher back in college. And here I am now, starting a new life.

I am now living in my condo unit alone and living my best life doing my own business.

I woke up early and upon opening my eyes, I stared at the ceiling and realized that I already have everything. I look around my room and I saw my cat sleeping tightly on my couch. I can't help but smile. I got him last year and was just a cute little kitten and now, he is bigger than his toy. I sigh and stared at my laptop and I realize that I still have some work to do. I started spreading my hands and started my day.

I started my day fixing my bed. I put my pillow in the proper place. I walked towards the kitchen wearing my white nighties I took the strawberries from the refrigerator as well as the blueberries and the milk. I made a smoothie for my breakfast and some waffles. While I am drinking my smoothie I noticed my cat below the table and staring at me like he is asking for his breakfast too. I smiled and I carry him and cuddled for a while it warms my heart when he suddenly "meowed" lightly like he is enjoying every moment with me.

I was staring at my laptop looking at the graph on how my business is currently working when all of the sudden, my phone rings. I feel somehow strange about the phone call, I took a peek and saw the call is coming from an unknown number. It's so strange to feel this way but I have to check who is calling me early in the morning.

I grabbed my phone and waited for five more rings before I finally answered the call. I waited for the person on the other line to talk first.

I am living peacefully now and I don't anyone to ruin it but what if this is an important phone call? I finally made up my mind when the person on the other line suddenly talked,

"Hmm. Hi! This is from BP Company. Is Miss Dawson on the line?" It is such a relief for me to hear those voices coming from a girl. It feels weird but I don't want to hear a voice of a guy this time.

"Hmm. Hi? is there anyone on the line?" the girl asked again and sounds confused. It shocked me a bit and realized I have been daydreaming for a while.

"Oh! hmm. Yes? What is it a...again?" I stated. I am quite lost and how to answer the girl on the other line.

"Oh, yes. This is from BP Company. Can I talk to Miss Jane Dawson?" she said politely. "Yes... Yes... Speaking" I said.

"Oh, Hi Miss Dawson! This is Erica I am the secretary of Mr. BP. I would like to inform you that we want to invest in your project" Those words enlightened me I have been waiting for so long to look for a person who is willing to invest in my next project.

"Great! That is good news! thank you for your initial call. I appreciate it." I responded cheerfully.

I have been looking for an investor for 7 months for me to start a new project on my business. I did not know that it will come this day.

"We love to hear that Miss Dawson. Is it okay if I set up a meeting for you and Boss BP?" the lady asked

"Yeah! Sure! of course! I appreciate it!" I said excitedly.

"That great. I will send you an email regarding your meeting Miss Dawson" She said on the other line. It feels like such a good day for me to receive a call from a potential investor. I have been working on this project for a while and I will never let this moment go.

I happily sipped my berry smoothie, I can smell success around my room. I excitedly picked the best outfit I could wear today to lighten up my mood before going to my office. I took my white tops and white loose pants tied my hair upward and took earnings. I chose my black stiletto to portray success.

I have been working hard to make my company work and having a potential investor for my next project is a dream come true.

I have been working on my next project since last year and it's almost 7 months. My company is a Toy Company. Who would think that an outrageous college student would think of having her own toy company? Of course, no one. Well, I am so inspired. Back when I graduated college, I started to volunteer in cancer facilities for children and I got so attached to most of them. Seeing them fight for their lives, having those smiles despite the problem they are facing. Sometimes, it's hard to see them go. Like, I was just talking to them today and then tomorrow they are no longer on their beds, for only two reasons, it's either they won the fight or cancer won.

We had one patient before she was very jolly just like an ordinary toddler without knowing she's facing a big problem. She always carries the teddy bear no matter where she goes, inside the comfort room, the playroom, the bathroom, her bed, and even when she needs to undergo her chemotherapy.
