I know this might sound strange, but there's something about you that draws me to you." Emily was taken aback by Matteus' words, but she could feel a strange attraction to him as well. She didn't know what it was, but she felt like she needed to know more about him. "I don't understand," she said. "Why do you feel drawn to me?" "I can't explain it," Matteus said. "But I want to get to know you. Will you let me buy you a cup of coffee?" Emily hesitated for a moment, but then she nodded. They walked to a nearby coffee shop, and as they talked over coffee, they both felt like they had known each other for years. Emily looked at Matteus in shock, unable to believe what she was hearing. "Vampires? What are you talking about?" "I know this might be hard to believe, but I am a vampire," Matteus said. "And I need to protect you from the others. Please, go inside and lock your door." Emily hesitated for a moment, but she could see the urgency in Matteus' eyes. She knew that he was telling the truth, and she didn't want to be caught up in whatever was about to happen. She quickly unlocked her door and went inside, locking it behind her. Finally, after what felt like hours, the other vampires were defeated. Matteus stood, panting and covered in blood, but he was alive. Emily ran outside to him, tears streaming down her face. "Are you okay?" she asked, looking him over for injuries. Matteus smiled at her, his heart racing with adrenaline. "I'm fine," he said. "Are you okay?" Emily nodded, still in shock from what she had just witnessed. "I can't believe all of this is real," she said. "I know it's a lot to take in," Matteus said, taking her hand. "But I promise to protect you, no matter what. And if you'll let me, I'd like to keep seeing you." Emily looked up at him, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that being with Matteus would be dangerous, but she couldn't deny the strong feelings she had for him. She nodded, knowing that she was willing to risk everything for him.
