Chapter Forty-Six
The next few days flew by, Ronan’s pain was more manageable now and he no longer needed to be sedated to deal with it. He still stayed in a room next to Flo’s so she could check up on him, often as would I. Often with Aurora, so we could be a family in the mornings and at least try to rekindle our lost passion. However, he wasn’t as taken with her as I was, but he made the effort to hold her. This still didn’t seem the same. If he tried to reach out for me I found myself making an excuse to leave.
