Chapter twenty-two
The next few days flew by, everyone prepping for the war to come. I even slipped into a route myself, helping the woman in the group with their children. After all, there were a lot of them, so any help that could be offered was appreciated.
We made the cavern our communal home, and it seemed to help ease the tension in the air. We didn’t have another attack directly but the fighting at the borders has become a daily occurrence at this point. Ronan is consistently out there protecting us.
I was also working with Max more on figuring out my ability. She had me practice more and more each day on different things and objects, but so far we had no luck.
