She's back

We all in the room dipped in confusion. Christian telling us something that makes us scratch our heads. What kind of cat is capable of such damage. And definitely this explanation didn't align with what we encountered in the farm. " Cats? What do you mean you were attacked by cats? “ Asher sounding angry. As I could tell he possibly thought that Christian is toying him. " They were cat shifters. They could shift into all kinds of big cats. I've never seen anything like that before, “ he bawls, genuinely sounding as though he indeed never encountered anything like it. " Are you sure about this? “ The Alpha invokes his knowledge. " Yes I'm very sure, Alpha. We managed to escape but they had already done great damage. I thought we were going to die, “ he cries. " Well that's what you get for disobeying my orders, “ Asher barks. Scaring the terrified victim even more. I elbow him hard on his side, he looks at me confused. I know that they disobeyed him, but I don't see the reason he should be so harsh. " Too soon, “ I tell him walking out of the room. At least they deserve to heal from whatever it is that they went through. And I'm sure they learned their lesson from it. " All of them have the same story. And they all seem really terrified by what happened to them. Whether it's true or not, it is the reason why Zayn lost his wolf, “ Lynn explains as we step away from the patient's room. " What do you mean lost his wolf? “ I question not sure if I heard her correctly. " I mean he doesn't have a wolf anymore. He can't shift,“ Lynn responds. But can that be possible? Were they so scared that his wolf ran away? " And the maze continues. And I hate it ,“ Stormi sighs. This is indeed wheels in another kind of trouble. Now I'm torn wondering if it could have something to do with what happened back in the farm. The two stories didn't seem to overlap in anyway. " How's that possible? “ Asher cuts in extremely shocked. " I don't know. He says all he saw is a man wearing a black robe, with his face covered. He's been crying all day, saying he has failed as a warrior. I ordered a few Omegas to look after him in case he might try and do anything stupid, “ Lynn responds. " So you're trying to tell me one of my best fighters doesn't have a wolf? “ he growls agitated. Lynn looks at her shoes intimidated by his spreading anger. Asher sighs pinching the bridge of his nose. Clearly this is more than what he expected. I don't think anyone should expect anything like this. " Where's Angela?“ I search as I didn't see her anywhere. Mostly because I didn't feel like being here. And not interested in Asher exploding in anger. “ She's at the library. She's trying to find more information about the cats I assume," the nurse answers. Well that sounds like a better place to be. Maybe I might find answers to some of my questions. “ You should go check up on Angela. I'll try to ask more questions, and see if I can find anything helpful," Asher instructs. I nod, leaving the clinic right then. In the way wondering what does all this mean? This didn't add up to anything that happened in the farm. And it angers me, the fact I can't even make sense of this. It seems the more information I get, the more everything becomes blurry. What are cat shifters? And why did they attack the wolves? Was it because they invaded the rogue territory? And how did Zayn lose his wolf. Maybe it became unscentable like Stormi. But yet again he's been crying all day. I finally find the library, pushing the door as it was closed. I can sense Angela between the maize of tall shelves with all kinds of book. Small and big, new and old the collection is amazing. I search for her, and find her brushing her fingers along the spines trying to find a book. She jerks her head my direction, her eyes bulging in shock as she notices me. Being so deep in thought, I had already forgotten about the stains covering my clothes. “ Amber are you okay? What happened?" “ I'm fine. Just got into some complications in my journey. But your car is still in one peace," I assure. But still she's concerned. And she wants me to elaborate further. But I instead try to dodge the topic.“ Did you find anything about the cats?" I question her. She shakes her head looking back at the books. “ Nothing useful. There stories of them existing in ancient times are very vague. And nothing about them existing in present day. I know that there are so many shifters that could be in existence even though we may not know much about them. I mean the supernatural world is a pretty diverse place, nothing is really surprising. But my question is that why would the cat shifters attack our warriors? And none of these books seem able to answer that question, “ she answers sounding very defeated. “Maybe we are just worrying ourselves about nothing. After all they were not attacked on pack territory. And even rogues might have attacked had they found them there," she explains. " Why about my blood? “ I ask. She shakes her head in response. Now we have a thousand pieces, that we can't even puzzle together. Something about these cat shifters didn't sit me right. Maybe I'm just paranoid, I don't know. " What happened with you? You look terrible. When Asher left here he was very worried that you left alone." She questions looking at the blood stains on my top. I sigh as I knew there was no point hiding the truth from her anymore. And I can really use her help in all of this. And desperately need someone to talk to. “ I guess it's time you finally know the truth," I speak, looking away staring at the books avoiding her eyes. “ Did something bad happen?" She worries. “ The blood in my clothes belong to my grandma and the people that possibly killed her," I speak, from the corner of my I can see her mouth gape in shock. “What?" She spits, bewildered. I tell her the whole story from when I found my grandma dead, to when she tried to kill me. That I suspected Asher being the killer, and finding people planning to take her away. And she could barely process everything I'm telling her. She couldn't hide her shock and confusion. And how she sympathizes greatly with my situation. “ I'm really sorry about what happened to your grandma. How are you even standing after all that?" She sounds worried about my mental state. But I don't think I'm coping so well with everything that happened these few days I've been here. Ever since I came back my life has been in shambles. Nothing seems to make sense and my feelings are all over the place. “ Honestly I don't know. I just... don't know," I try to explain blinking tears, I can't find any words to explain what I'm feeling. The anger I feel, my heart shuttered in so many ways. I'm confused, I'm scared my head is all over the place. “ I understand you must be in pain. This is just too much for you to handle all alone," she brushes the tears from my face. “ But I'm here for you, okay? And I'm going to help you find who ever is responsible for this," she promises. I just couldn't stop the waterfall of tears wetting my face. The lump forming in my throat, my heart is bleeding. I want to be strong, I really want to. But how can I after everything? “Thank you," I pull her into a hug sobbing more tears leaving my eyes. As I embrace her warmth something catches my eyes from the shelves behind her even with my blurry vision. That I break from the hug, following to where my eyes were glued as I swipe the tears from my face. “ Look," my voice comes out brittle as I take out a book from the shelf, presenting to Angela. “ This is the same symbol I saw from the cookies, the intruders, and the cage." The weird mark is engraved in the cover, and spine. Even though it seems faint, almost to invisible. “But I see nothing," she answers narrowing her eyes on the book. I move closer to give her a better vision of the symbol. “Here," I trace it with my fingers. She still shakes her head. Which now makes me wonder if I'm seeing things. “ I still see nothing. Are you sure?" she responds. Maybe granny's death is really getting in my head. Because I'm hundred percent sure, that there's a symbol in the book. Even when I try to shake it off, blink countless times, it's still there vivid. I shake my head, letting out a hefty breath. “ Maybe all this is just getting in my head," I say closing my eyes taking in a really deep breath. “ Let's look inside. Maybe you're not crazy as you might think,“ she says taking the book and opening it. But inside it's only strange writing crafted in a way I couldn't read. “What language is this?" She mutters flipping through the pages as they were all written in the same strange symbols. Something I've never see before. “ I think I'm just losing my mind." I take it back the book to put where it belongs. “Maybe we are both crazy. Because I can see the same thing," Stormi tells me. I guess everything affected us, more than we thought it did. That now not even my wolf can keep me sane. “No. Don't put it away, keep it. Let's at least see if Asher can read it. He knows a lot ancient languages.“ Angela stops me as I put it away. Well Asher sounds like a very passionate Alpha to know a lot of ancient languages. " I don't really think it's worth the trouble, “ I say still looking at the cover as the mark still hasn't disappeared. I don't understand why Angela didn't see it. It might be faint, but not impossible to see. It's right there. " Please. We at least have to know what's... “ She suddenly trails off visibly distracted by something. When she comes back to me she pulls a long face. " Kamila is back. And she wants to see you, “ she tells me. That I'm aware it must be a mind-link that interrupted her. " I wonder where that annoying sister of yours appears from, “ Stormi growls not very pleased with the news. And I could think of many reasons why my sister is interested in seeing me. And I can assure none of them involve two sisters being excited to see each other. Though I'm a little curious to where she's been. And what she's been up to. It seems a little odd that she'd suddenly disappear around the days my grandma gets killed. “How exciting," I lie, as by my expression it's clear that I'm very annoyed. I follow Angela out of the library. She leads me further upstairs, to where Asher and Kamila's room should be. We walk through the small hallway where there are at least two rooms available on either side. The main bedroom standing in front of. Definitely a place Asher and Kamila have visited very often. Their scent hangs everywhere. And I can sense Kamila's presence, not a memory I want to jog in head. It's not like we have the best memories. Only memories with reasons why she's the worst thing ever happened in my life. Angela, knocks before pushing the door open. Bringing to view the beautiful room. It's mostly a grey, black and white theme some I never thought was of Kamila's taste. Kamila already standing inside with a smug on her face. She hasn't changed much, neither did her personality. I'm only afraid it might have gotten worse actually. She looks me head to toe, studying me closely. “What happened to you twinnie? You look awful?" She inquires as she chuckles in amusement. “ Did you think leaving and coming back after so many years things would have changed. Well we haven't forgotten that you tried to kill the future Luna of this pack. And that Alpha Asher rejected and threw you out of the pack so he could be with me," she beams with much excitement. “ And it looks like he still hates you," she gestures at the stains over my body. Did she think that Alpha Asher was possibly the reason I have blood all over my body? And why am I not surprised by her crazy fantasies. “Kamila?" Suddenly Asher walks into the room. Surprised seeing me and amber standing here with Kamila. “ Uhh, just the man I wanted to see," she turns to Asher with a crooked smile. “ What's on here?" He searches skeptical. " Don't be so broody. I come bearing good news for the pack. And mostly for you,“ she walk up to him. The smile never leaving her face as she loops her arm over his shoulder. " I'm finally pregnant. And I'm carrying the future Alpha, “ she announces rubbing her tummy.
