Chapter ten - Party time

Dylan's POV:

Thanks to Loren, I know why Jackson is ignoring me. My best friend has blocked my number. That's what I thought. I won't lie that Loren's version made me start doubting. Maybe Christina has done it. I need to talk with him soon. The question is when I will be able to do it. As I see it, this girl won't leave him for a hot second. Alice doesn't have better luck. I feel bad for her. I don't know how long she liked my best friend. The thing is that he has been ignoring her. Let's hope that he will get his senses back. The thing is that there is a party soon. That won't help him for sure. Honestly, my job is not to tell him what to do. Sadly, I care about him. After all, we have been best friends for a long time. I can't leave Jackson. Maybe I have to talk with Christina again. As much as I don't want to see her, she is the only one who knows everything. I believe she blocked me from his phone, but I don't have any proof. Jackson won't believe me. I don't know what to do anymore. Last year, things between us were great. I can't understand what went wrong. It's better if I start focusing on myself. I lost too much time with Jackson without any result. Well, I can go out with the girls. I liked the movie we watched a couple of days ago. Loren is still shy in person, but being with Alice helps her. I have to say that she started feeling a bit calmer. Maybe we have to talk more often. I think that she still will be nervous around other people. I want to help her, but I don't know how. That is something Loren has to do herself. What we can do is continue using FaceTime to study. At least she is herself that way. I like it when she is relaxed and in a good mood. After all, that is her true self. I hope that one day, I can see it in person. I like Loren the way she is.

Today there is a party. I plan to go, but I don't want to be alone. I can text Jackson, but he won't receive my message. In that case, I can invite the girls. Alice will go for sure. I can't tell the same for Loren. Of course, I will try to convince her. She is not a party person, especially when it comes to many people in the same room. Honestly, that would be an opportunity for her to start socializing. Well, I won't pressure her. After all, the decision is hers.

Currently, I am in school. Since Jackson and I got distant, I started sitting behind the girls. That didn't change my grades much. I am the same student. I won't lie that I liked studying with Loren. She made me like doing that. Well, I liked it before, but not that much. I don't want to put her over my best friend. For now, she is all I have. Alice as well. They are not bad girls, and Christina needs to stop making fun of them. I was in front of my locker when they came. Now it's time for my shot.

- Hey, girls.

- Hey, Dylan. How are you? - Alice asked

- Good. I want to ask both of you something.

- You mean both of us or only Loren?

- Both. Will you come to the party tonight?

- Yes.

- No.

- Why? Loren. Alice will come.

- I-I don't want to go.

- Don't worry about Christina. She will be busy with something else.

- Let me correct you. Someone else. - Alice said, chuckling

- Yeah, same thing.

- Come on. It will be fun.

- I said no! - Loren said and walked away

- Don't worry. I will convince her.

- Hey, don't pressure her. You will come, won't you?

- Of course. I won't deny a party.

On the lunch break, I went to search for Loren. We walked out of class together, but she ran away. Let's hope that I didn't offend her. It was only a question. After five minutes of searching, I found her on the field behind the benches of the crowd. Loren was sitting there, eating an apple. I took the pace next to her without saying anything.

- I-I won't go.

- I'm not here for that.

- Then what are you doing here?

- Are you mad at me?

- What?

- Answer my question.

- N-no. W-why would I be?

- Because I asked you to come even if I knew you were too shy for this.

- I-it's ok.

After school, I walked home. I suggested Loren study with me, and luckily, she accepted. As I see it, she doesn't have a problem with that. As usual, we did our homework first. We don't talk much when we study, but it's ok. I look at her from time to time. I like it when she puts the bun and the glasses on. Probably I should tell her, but the last time I did, she became red like a tomato. Well, even then, she was cute. Did I call her cute? I spend too much time with this girl. The problem is that I like it. She is good company.

- What will you do for the rest of the night?

- Alice texted me. She said something. She will drag me there if I don't come to the party.

- I'm not surprised. She only wants you to have fun.

- I do it from home.

- You know she won't give up.

- If she goes away, I will be with you. I won't leave you alone.

Loren and I talked for a while. Later, Alice came, and I left her. It was 5 pm. I better get ready for tonight. I went for a shower and later changed my clothes. The house is a bit far away, but I prefer to walk. I texted Loren, but she said we would meet there. In that case, I don't need to rush. When I arrived, there were a few people. Alice and Loren were drinking. I believe it's juice. Loren won't drink alcohol, for sure.

- Hello, again. - I said, chuckling

- Hey, Dylan. Will you take care of her? I need to do something.

- Yeah, sure. No problem. - I said, and Alice left

- H-hi.

- Hey, Loren. How are you feeling?

- Nervous.

- It's ok. I am here.

- I want to go home, but Alice won't let me.

- Why do you feel so comfortable there? You can go to a park or another place where no one goes.

- No one knows where I live, and I feel safe.

- Did someone try to hurt you?

- No, but I can be myself there.

- I understand. Do you want another drink?

- Thanks, but this is enough for me.

- Ok, I am back. You can have fun now. - Alice said, looking at me

- I want to stay here if you don't mind.

- It's better than watching these two. - I said, looking at Jackson and Christina

I stayed with the girls for some time. Later, I went for a drink. I don't know what it was, but it tasted good. Soon I started feeling a bit dizzy. Maybe that was alcohol. There was no label on the bottle.

- Hey, do you want us to dance? - one girl asked me

- Thanks, but I can't. Someone else is waiting for me. - I said, looking at Loren

She was having fun and talking with people. Well, it's time for me to occupy her. I'm sure she won't say no to me. After all, I am Dylan Myers. The girls are walking after me. I walked up to her and grabbed her hand.

I took Loren to an empty bedroom and locked the door. No one will disturb us. If people want some space, they need to find another room. That one got taken.

Surprisingly, she didn't pull away. I pulled her close and deepened the kiss. I probably won't remember it, so I'll make the most of it. I picked Loren up and carefully put her on the bed. She was holding me tightly as if I would run away. I don't know what is going on, but I like it. That is the best thing that has ever happened to me. We kept making out as if this would be our last time. Soon, I took off my shirt. I felt her eyes on me. After all, I have to keep myself in shape. I took her hand and put it on my chest. She didn't say anything, but her eyes were speaking. I put one of my hands on her cheek and kissed her again. I don't want this to end. It feels so good. After some time, I pulled away and looked at her. She didn't say anything and snuggled.

- How do you feel?

- Amazing.

- Really?

- Yes. There is a reason why all the girls are walking after you.

- Well, I am Prince Charming.

- With blonde hair, blue eyes, and a perfect body. - Loren said, and I laughed

- It's true.

- Ok, ok. I won't argue with you.

- Good.

- Can I give you something?

- This. - I said and took off my necklace

- What is that?

- It has an engraved picture of my dog.

- Why are you giving it to me?

- Because you deserve to have it. Keep it. I don't have another one.

Loren was quick to deepen the kiss. As much as I would like to have a round two with her, it's better if we stop. I pulled away and removed a piece of her hair. She looked at me, smiling. I should've done this earlier. This girl is perfect. Every inch of her is pretty. I like being with her. Maybe we have to do this again.

- Ok, then. I will come with you, but that's it. I won't come inside.

Loren and I laid in bed for a while. Believe it or not, I love this. I feel high, but who cares? I am having fun. This girl is incredible. I should go back downstairs, no matter that I like being with her.

- We have to go downstairs.

- No. I want to stay here. - Loren said and looked at me

- I know, but we can't be here forever.

- Fine. Let's go.

Both of us walked back to the party. I saw people drinking. Jackson was with Christina. Alice was dancing with someone. I went to take another drink and headed back to Loren. I found her talking with someone. She drank it at once. This girl surprises me all the time. Well, I like this.

- Ok, we have to take you home.

- No! I want to stay here.

- As much as I want it, I can't let you stay here long.

- Please. I will be a good girl. - she said and bathed her lashes in me

- You are one stubborn girl.

- Thank you. - Loren said and kissed my cheek

After some time, I took Loren home. I have no idea where I am going, but it's ok. Soon we arrived in front of a house. I don't want her to go, but I can't take her home. Not with me.

- That was a crazy night. Don't you think?

- Yeah. Can we do it again, pretty boy?

- For you always. Say when and where.

- Let me think. Soon.

- When is that soon?

- Maybe tomorrow.

- Ok.

- What? Say it. I know you want me more than you will admit. You liked what we did. I see it.

- Ok, you caught me. What will happen now?

Loren walked inside, and I did too. I didn't want to leave her, but I had no choice. I don't know what happened tonight, but I liked it. That was one of my best nights. I probably won't remember anything in the morning, but I had fun. Jackson can do whatever he wants. I don't care. My life is better than his. Loren better watch out because I plan to repeat this. I don't know when, but I will do it. Soon, she will be mine. The question is if she will want this. Well, I can be charming around her. No one can resist me. I hope she will accept and won't play the "hard to get" game.
