Juniper rushing off the way she did, doesn’t sit right with me. Especially after hearing all that Fern had to share. I cannot believe that my brothers and I let the ball drop and didn’t even investigate the guy.
I suppose knowing of him for so long, even if I didn’t actually know him, let him slide under the radar. With Juniper being twenty one when they started dating, I pushed back my need to protect her so I didn’t smother her. I have always struggled maintaining a balance between protecting her and being overbearing. But who can blame me after the s**t we saw the day she was almost kidnapped. I felt so helpless, I only thank the goddess that Micah had already come into his magic or Juniper would likely have been gone from us.
