"Zack!" I yelled, racing towards where the fighting had ceased. "Zack!"
My mate groaned in answer. He was at the edge of the ruins, back in human form.
"What happened?!" I asked, skidding to his side.
"My leg." He said, gritting his teeth. "My leg passed into the ruins."
I looked down, gasping at the sight of his healthy leg next to the newly aged one.
"It's okay, we'll figure something out." I said, my eyes darting around. "Where is Matt?"
"I don't know, he took off." Zack said, shaking his head.

"Get away from the ruins, find Owen if you can manage." I said, checking that I still had the silver dagger on me.
"What are you going to do?" Zack asked as I helped him to stand. He tested his balance, nearly falling flat on his face.
