Chapter EighteenPresent day Raven lay in bed, engulfed in a fitful sleep, tossing and turning on the steel-framed bed. The sheets tangled around his legs as he kicked and struggled, his mind trapped in a dream. He was running down a long corridor, panic ravaging his mind, pushing him to run faster and faster, away from or towards something; he did not know which. It was something he longed for, but also something he feared. Something he had prayed for and had been eagerly awaiting, but also something that terrified him. He knew not what it was, all he knew was that he had to run, harder and faster than he ever had before. The fear was closing in on him from behind.
