Chapter Fifty-Four: RedemptionPresent day
The clock chimed its loud, clear tone, slicing through the darkness and echoing around the tiny cell. Raven sat, calm and determined, in the centre of the room, as his last day of sensory deprivation began.
He was ready to come out, to face the world once more, to try again at all the things he had failed. The cell no longer felt cramped, the darkness no longer intimidating. Today nothing seemed as bad as it had yesterday.
