INTRODUCTION
Becoming a better person will be a lifelong journey that you can start today.
Self development is not easy. It can be a struggle to find the time, energy, and patience to dedicate yourself to self-improvement. But the more you do it, the more you realize that it's not about having all of these things in one place—it's about finding what works for you.
This book is written not to thrill you with some typical romance stories but for me to share some of my favorite ways of self development: gratitude, journaling, meditation, exercise, reading act of kindness, creativity, self-care, affirmation, learning, mindfulness, and graciousness. If you're looking for ways to improve your self-development, I've got you covered.

At the end of every day, we can choose to be grateful for all the things we have. If you're like me, you've probably made this a habit over the years, but sometimes it can be hard to remember to look at what you have instead of what you don't.
When I'm feeling overwhelmed or stressed out and just need a break from the day-to-day grind, I always remind myself that I have so much more than what's going on around me. It really helps me refocus on what's important in my life and bring some perspective into my own head. When I'm feeling down about something, just telling myself " I have so much " is enough to make me feel better.
So if you're feeling down about something today: think about all the things in your life that are great! You may not think they are right now, but they will be! And when they are … well … here's hoping they make you smile :)
Self-development is an ongoing process. It involves a lot of trial and error, and you aren't going to get it right every time. Just like any other skill, it takes practice!
When you're developing yourself, try to be patient with yourself. A lot of people who are trying to develop themselves are so anxious that they don't even allow themselves the time or space to do anything! They're afraid of messing up or making a mistake, so they try too hard and fail at developing themselves because they're just trying too hard. That's not what we're talking about here!
The goal here is not perfection—it's just being happy with yourself and working towards your own personal goals. It's okay if things don't go exactly as planned; just keep doing what you need to do in order to improve yourself.
