Chapter 19 Chris taped up the last of the boxes in her living room and took in the small one-bedroom apartment she’d lived in since moving to Phoenix. The sun was shining in through the open sliding glass door, and she could hear the traffic on the street below. For a moment, she wondered if she was making the right decision. She tapped the box and took a minute to look around her place, which was packed up and being emptied. An incredible sadness squeezed in her chest even though she knew her brother was right: It was time to leave Phoenix for a new start.
