chapter twenty

Jessie's POV

The past week has been hectic, moving from one meeting to another. We are trying to get more investors for the project we are about to launch so far we met with five investors and the outcome seemed to be promising. This week does not have a lot of loads so I decided to bring up the issue we had talked about with Tricia last week to Ryan, I'm not sure how he will react but I'm hoping for the best. I just need to find the right time maybe later tonight or at dinner, I'm not sure. I don't know why I'm nervous all of a sudden it's not like I'm scared of him or anything and I've been practicing on how to bring it up for like a week now. he had asked me to go for dinner tonight seen we were both free, I had initially thought to have some rest tonight but I guess there is no putting it off any longer.

" We are done for the day what do you have in mind?" Ryan asked as we made our way to our hotel room

" right now I just want to rest, I'm exhausted "

"I thought you agreed to go for dinner tonight," he said disappointment vividly evidenced in his voice

" yeah, I know I did but it's not even noon yet. I want to rest a bit"

" you want to pass on lunch? You even have breakfast you must be starving," he complained as we entered the room. I knew he would not have lunch if I didn't

" fine, we can order something for lunch. I'm going to take a shower now" I told him and dropped my purse on the sofa and went to the bathroom. I was engrossed in my thoughts when I felt him wrap his arm around my waist, then they traveled up and made their way to my breast and he started playing with my n*****s. everything he did seem to go straight to my core and I felt an unmeasurable amount of pleasure. lunch was long forgotten, we went at it for like the whole afternoon I didn't even know I had fallen asleep until I woke up with my core still throbbing

" morning sleepy heard" he greeted as he came from the dressing room

" is it morning already?" I asked as I jumped from the bed to get ready for work

" wow, calm down I'm just messing with you but you do need to get ready for dinner because there is no way we are missing it, you will be needing the energy for later tonight " he winked at me, I rolled my eyes to that

" yeah sure, like I'm letting you anywhere near me again, where are we going anyway?" "I'm talking you on our first official date, now hurry we need to get going" yeah right, like I going to do that . I took a nice and warm bath, I cleaned myself until I felt that I was all clean and fresh then I left the bathroom to get dressed. I chose to keep it simple just fitted skinny jeans and a t-shirt by the time I was done, it was already half-past eight. I found Ryan sitting and waiting for me on the sofa, I let out a breath of relief because I had made the right choice to keep it simple as he dressed casually himself

" Did we miss any reservations ?" I asked sheepishly

" no, but it could have been nicer if we headed out earlier," he said then stood up " come on let's go" I was a bit curious as to where he was taking me the whole ride was mostly quiet just listening to music

" where are we going? " I asked hoping he would finally let it out

" you will see when you get there," he says not even sparing me a glance " I don't want to ruin the fun"

" I hate surprises they are not fun, this is torture literally"

" Oh come on, it is not really much of a surprise, besides we are already here," he said as reached the City Square

" Okay, so what is the purpose of this mission then?" he seemed to hesitate for a while before he said

" I hope you don't mind, I was thinking of what to do or better yet give you on our first date and I just could not come up with anything. You already have it all and nothing I would give would measure up to what you already have so I thought I would give you an experience I'm sure you have not had in a really long time "

I was so excited I hugged him so tight I was suffocating myself

" This is not the reaction I expected I had prepared myself for the worst, but since you like it, happy birthday love" wait what? it's my birthday? isn't that like on 20 November? I took out my phone to confirm

" what? you forgot your birthday?" he asked amused

" don't act surprised okay, it happens".

"no it doesn't, how could you possibly forget something like that?"

" well, there are a lot of things on my mind lately, so I barely have time to remember things like that"

"if you say so," he said then pointed to a stand at our left "Let go see what's there," he said then dragged me with him

" look at what we have here, you want one?" he asked me as we look at bracelets

" Yeah, why not?"

" can we have two with our names combined?" he asked the Lady who was selling them

" of cause, my dear just tell me what name combinations you want, then wait for a moment" he did as he was instructed and he then told her we would be coming back for them later.

It was great we had so much fun, I don't remember when was the last time I had spent a day strolling around the streets with totally nothing to worry about, it was so relaxing. We decided to go to the playground and we had a few games it was around midnight when we tired and had to go and retire for the day. I enjoyed every minute of it Ryan made sure of that but it bothered me to think that he was worried and insecure because he thought I would accept anything gift he gave me and that I regarded him as lesser than so I made a mental note to try and level the ground
