Charlie couldn’t help but wonder if it would be the worst thing in the world for her to just… not tell the rest of the Quintets what Ramoni had told her about James Winterfell’s journal. She could just take the bus to Norduke Library and find the journal herself. She didn’t need the others. And they didn’t need her. “Hi, Char,” Lexi greeted Charlie when she got home from school later. She was standing there in the doorway, wearing a pink plaid skirt with a matching blazer, her hair in soft curls around her shoulders. Immediately, Charlie found it suspicious. “Uh… hi?” she questioned, gritting her teeth. Her sister simply waved a dismissive hand at her. “Don’t be like that. I just wanted to check in and see how the first week of your second semester is going! Any boys you’re talking to?
