Ko Ko Ko oh!, is there anybody in the house?. Ooooooooooooh! this crazy man has come to disturb my life again. I don't know why some Nigerian Landlord's like behaving like this. And it's not as if I owe rent or anything. I'm sure he has come to borrow my pressing iron again.
The ever troublesome Baba Lanre. The man has the habit of just a showing up whenever something important was going on. The other day he showed up when I was cooking in the kitchen, about three days ago it was while I was in the shower and now I'm tidying my house for an important visitor and he has decided to show up again. I don't know why this silly cheapskate of a man hasn't bought himself an iron all this years. It not his fault it's because I keep lending him mine.
I just hope this man has no intention of staying long because I don't want him to still be here by the time Amaka arrives. Did I forget to mention that asides from him being cheap this man would follow anything in a skirt. I've decided I'm going to gift him the iron so that he will not come back again.
Today is going to be a very special day Amaka finally accepted my invite home after about three weeks of rigorous convincing. I even had to make a little presentation before she could agree to come. Some women just have the habit of being difficult for no reason. But she's accepted and that's all that matters to me right now. Everywhere has to be spic and span because I doubt it if she will ever set foot in here again if it isn't. Although we have not started going out yet, I have a feeling something special exists between Amaka and I.
Now enough of the love talk, back to reality. Three hours have already passed since Amaka called that she was already on her way and still she is no where to be found. I feared this would happen. Did she decide to stand me up at the last moment?. No it cannot be possible something must have happened or maybe love isn't for everyone after all.
