Neither Jacob nor Dave had responded to her mental communication, but she was aware they were in the farthest stretch of the eastern territory. The mental connection weakened with distance, and if they were embroiled in a heated argument or, worse, a fight, they wouldn't have the mental capacity to respond. After several attempts, she resigned herself to the fact that they were fully capable of handling themselves.
They had enough manpower to address whatever issue Jacob had detected, and she was confident they would all return unscathed once they had resolved it.
