The party and turnover were a success. We came home late at night. Mama Cedera was formally introduced to everyone as my mother. I didn’t elaborate on how it happened. I just said it. Although most of the guests were wondering, I didn’t care what they thought. I don’t have to explain nor recall the past. I had no idea what had happened. I let it be in the past for now.
Agad akong bumaba, para sa aming agahan. Pagpasok ko sa komedor nakaupo na si mama. “Good morning Ma,” bati ko sa kanya at humalik sa kanyang pisngi. “Good morning anak, akala ko mamaya ka pa gigising,” komento nito. “Nah, I will visit Elizabeth in the hospital today, Ma." Simpleng tugon ko. Pabagsak ni Mama kubyertos, napaangat ako ng tingin sa kanya. “Are you okay Ma?” nagkulay papel ang kanyang mukha
