Chapter 2- What?

Ruby POV:

I stared at the phone in shock. She hadn't just said that. That couldn't be right.

"Y-You are joking right?" I asked shakily.

"I wish Ruby, however the new Alpha has no mate & he wants a Luna. You have been the best Luna by recent numbers regardless of Andre. You are the best."

"But Andre and I are still mated & married! Fucker ran off before I could fix that."

"The Elders have agreed to do a separation ceremony under the circumstances. That way we won't have to prolong the process."

I flopped back into my chair and just sighed, "so I'm getting married again? Does he even know about me? Seems odd to marry a complete stranger."

"It will all come in good time, just get some rest for the night. Staring at those papers won't make them any better. Goodnight Ruby."

Monica's POV:

God this was amazing! Even being on the run Andre's appetite was insatiable. We've been gone a week but feels like nothing has changed. I watch as the bulge in his pants grows, knowing what's coming next. He quickly grabs me & kisses me, rushing to pull down my skirt and panties. I step out of them as he quickly pushes us to the ground. We've been in this forest for days so no need to keep quiet, no one is in sight. I take off my shirt and bra as he quickly rips his pants off. Not even a second later he shoves himself inside me. He grabs my breasts as leverage as he begins f*****g me hard. I can't help but already scream his name as he always pushes me to climax quickly. I feel my orgams begin to rip through my body over & over as he gets rougher with me, but my p***y can handle all of him. Finally he pulls me up and holds me against him as he pounds into me harder as he gets closer to his climax. I moan into his ear as I feel him release inside of me. He holds me close for a minute before we are up, dressed, and on our way again. But I know it won't be long before we take another intimate break. We still are days away from Andre's safe house.

Elder Michelle POV:

We are sitting in a meeting with the soon to be new Alpha of Entera, Sean McLough, & his brother Peter, the new Beta. I refused to let him walk into this pack blind.

"So this is only an informative meeting. We have agreed on the terms of you taking over as Alpha, but we need to give you the pack information and gather some information on you to inform your new Luna," I sigh as I worry about poor Ruby. I open the file on Entera and begin reciting the information. "Entera is part of the Appalachin mountains in Maryland, Pennsylvania, & Virginia. Quite a large territory but more mountain than fertile soil. Your packhouse is part of Maryland, surrounded by thick woods and an old fort. The pack house and surrounding houses are a bit more up to date but still need renovations as the last few years they have been neglected. The pack consists of 558 wolves currently. 200 male warriors, 200 female warriors, 50 teenagers, 28 elderly, 20 children ages 4-12, and the remainder infants 0-3. Although 400 warriors in total most split the jobs of the pack. The former Alpha tried to make Omega positions himself but was denied officially, I cannot say if he still didn't demote some members himself unofficially though. As you know funds are low, but they do still have some profitable businesses locally."

"And the Luna?" Sean asked quizzically.

I raised my eyebrow at him but slid over a picture of Ruby and her daughters, "Luna Ruby is the best Luna on record to date. As you can see long straight red hair and blue eyes, 5'7, 150 lbs currently however she is pregnant with baby number 3 by her ex. She is a Georgetown University graduate of medicine and can honestly be both Luna and pack doctor if permitted. She is smart and dedicated to her pack, regardless of the former Alpha. Her daughters are Diane age 3, and June 18 months old. Now as it is recorded in her file no one knows of her wolf or what her wolf looks like, so that information is blank. She currently only has her father, her mother recently died of brain cancer unfortunately. He is the head warrior, and former Gamma of the pack. There are no ranked members of this pack currently besides Ruby. Any questions Sean?"

He smiles at the photo and looks back at her, "when is the wedding?"

Ruby POV:

I haven't digested Michelle's news quite as well as I should over the last few weeks, but I have more pressing matters. Today is baby's 20 week check up, then I have a business meeting with the local town wolves, then Diane & June need their check ups, & then I have to address the housing issues. As much as I dread this change, I kind of can't wait for this new Alpha. I race over to the hospital, only to have Anna waiting for me. Dammit I thought I could make it.

"You're late," she scolds.

"I know sorry Anna."

Anna is only 5' tall, but she's a pistol. She has her black hair in a Bob, and covered in piercings and tattoos. She guides me to the exam room quickly, and I get up on the table.

"So when do you get to become head doctor?" she teases.

"Never, I get to be Luna forever," I scoff at her.

"Well you are great at either job. Now as you are aware wolf pregnancies are half that of regular humans so you are due in a couple weeks, and it is a girl I see correct?"

"Yes ma'am. Going to be little Heather or Lily, just haven't decided yet."

"Can't wait! Now let's check up on our little girl."

Anna puts the gel on my belly and starts moving the wand around to bring up the pictures on the screen, but I can tell something is off. I try to look closer but I've always been bad at reading sonograms. Finally I ask Anna to look closer. She leans in and smiles back at me.

"Well looks like our little girl just turned into two. You are actually having twins!"

"How'd we miss the second?"

"Probably just a good hider, it happens occasionally."

"And what is it?"

"It's a boy."
