Chapter 7

Today was the day, the day that I have been wishing through out the week not to come, the day I would be joined in a marriage i never asked for, a marriage that came without a choice. My wedding day. I was already in my wedding gown which Arya helped me into, and was currently retouching my make up which I didn't find necessary but Arya being who she was, insisted. "Oh best friend you look amazingly gorgeous, oh my goddess! wow!" Brian said, when Arya was done retouching my make up. After the proposal at the beach, everything went very fast, since Noah had decided to push the wedding to this Saturday, for reasons only best known to him. I was thrown into a moving train of activities, from wedding rehearsals that Noah never showed up, to cake testing and decors,to gown fitting, then to the salon, then back to the wedding rehearsals, then there was the bachelorette Party. I didn't realise I was suppose to put so much effort into preparing for a wedding that I was basically forced into, and Noah did nothing other than work and make calls to make sure I was participating in the preparations. "Okay pretty bride is time to go." Rachel, Noah's sister said when she walked in with ella. "You look beautiful." Ella said. One thing that gave me joy was that my sister was finally done with her treatments forever, and she could be with me on this day even if she knew it wasn't what everyone thought it was but it still made me happy to see smiles on my sister's face. "Thank you." I said with tears forming at the back of my eyes. "Oh my God! Scarlet who cries on her wedding day when she isn't even on the alter yet? do you want to ruin your make up?!" Arya shouted. "Sorry.” I managed to say In between sobs. "It’s okay baby, I’m sorry I screamed at you but we need to get going before Noah comes here and drag you to the alter himself." "Girls please can we get going already?” Rachel said and rolled her eyes at Arya and I. The drive to the church wasn't long, I became more nervous as we got closer to the church,Even tho I knew this wasn't really a wedding wedding, like wedding in a kind of I love you and forever want to be with you kind of wedding I still couldn't help being nervous. Since my parents were dead, I walked to the alter myself. The church was so big and filled to the brim with all kinds of people, wealthy people,Mrs knight had invited everyone she knew to her sons wedding and so did Rachel and Noah. I only invited people i was permitted to invite, according to Noah, not everyone is invited strictly by invitation due to the kind of people he was inviting. In other words no low class or middle class invited. So I was permitted to invite just my family and best friends. My face was covered with a Vail, which I was thankful for as no one could see me biting my lips due to the fact that I was nervous not to make any mistake as all eyes were on me including that of Noah, who stood there at the alter in all his glory. When I finally reached the alter, Noah took my hands, and I let out the breath I had been holding. "Dearly beloved we are gathered here to witness the joining together of this two beloved children in holy matrimony, in sickness and in health,in pains and joy till death do them part. Please if anyone has any reasons that this two shouldn't be together speak now or forever hold your peace." The priest said. After a few minute and no one objected to our wedding, the priest went on to join us together with the power vested in him. The exchange of rings was done and it came to that part I had been nervous about all day, that. "You may now kiss the bride." Yeah that part. Noah removed the Veil from my face, he stared at me for a while, before he pulled me close, his gaze dropped on my lips for a while before he kissed me. At first it was slow and sensual but then along the way it became demanding and wild, that he pulled me even more closer. And when I unthinkably started responding to his kiss, he groaned , and broke the kiss, leaving my lips red and plump due to his demanding kiss. My attention shifted to the audience when I heard them clapped and cheered. "My dearly beloved wife." Noah said into my ears as we waved at the crowd. I looked up at him to see if that was a form of mockery or he meant what he said but when I looked at him, I saw nothing in his eyes, no emotions whatsoever and that scared me. The reception was magical, I was proud of what they had done, Noah on the other hand hated the colour of the cake. He hated it was strawberry, he hated the colour of the decorations too but he had no choice but to agree cause his mum had a hand in it, and obviously he loves her too much, he couldn't ruin the happiness of the woman that planning her son’s wedding gave her joy, he couldn’t take that away from her. Every thing was going fine until I laid eyes on the only person Noah hated and loved at some point in his life. Rumor has it that she was the woman that made him hate the words love and marriage, his one and only ex fiancé , the one and only Layla Alonso.
