Chapter 6

When we entered the fashion house,I couldn't help but admire the beautiful interior decoration, everything about it shouts money.

We were greeted by a Lady in suite and her suite was stylish like it was specially designed for her. I couldn't help but admire it.

"Welcome madam Susan.” The lady greeted Susan and gave her a peck on both her cheeks.

"How are you Lily, its been ages, hope you have what I asked for?"Mrs Susan said cheerfully.

"Yes why not? We are here to serve you and she should be the bride right?" Lily said greeting me the same way she did Susan.

"Yes our soon to be Mrs Noah Dollaganger knight!, and you know Noah my son, he wants only the best.” Susan said a little bit proud of her son.

"Sure and that's what you would get, come with me." Lily said as she took us to the elevator and pressed the last floor.

When we arrived at the floor, she led us into a look alike walk in closet but this time it was stocked with wedding gowns.

Another Lady who we met working inside, greeted us. she and Lily spoke for a while before the other

Lady went inside an adjourning door.

"Please take your seat, tina would be here in a minute, I worked on this gown myself, all day and all night since when you placed your order so I really do hope you like it, cause I love it!" Lily said excitedly.

"I really do hope Scarlet likes it cause its all about her." Susan said as she gave me a motherly smile.

Few minutes later tina came out with a Mannequin that had a wedding dress on, When she removed the leather with which the mannequin was covered, me and Susan gasped at the same time. My Goodness it was a beautiful sight to behold.

The dress was an off shoulder v neck, white ball gown that had silver drawings on it. It was everything beautiful I had ever set my eyes on, There was a silver crown on the head of the doll that matched with the gown.

" So? Do you like it?" Lily asked, her voice hinting that she’s scared I might say no.

"No I don't like it, I love it, its so beautiful! Like my dream wedding gown." I blurted out unthinkably with a little tear in my eyes.

"That's very pleasant to hear, I worked on this myself and I really put my best in it. Okayy, testing time!, go in there and get into this dress and rock it ok!" Lily said clapping her hands in excitement, sounding so relieved.

I went into the changing room with Tina and the dress, and after few minutes I stepped out and every one there gasped at the sight of me ,Susan teared up seeing me and she hugged and pecked me on the cheek.

"you look beautiful Scarlet. I know this might not be how you wanted to get married but this should be your dream wedding. Oh my dear! you look like a Disney princess, gosh can't believe I just said that but it’s true you look amazing." Susan said with a tear drop running down her face but it was tears of joy.

"Thank you so much Mrs knight but its just the fitting of the gown. What would you do on the wedding day. You are so emotional." I said tearing up myself.

"Ok enough of the emotional drama, is there anything about it you don't like? Any adjustment or anything?" Lily asked.

"No its perfect." I replied quickly.

"Sure?"

"Yes. Very." I said as I smile sweetly at her.

"Okay then, that would be all I guess.”

After changing out of the dress, I waited for Mrs knight and Lily to talk for a while and when they were done, we headed to the office but stopped by a coffee shop where Mrs knight got something to eat on the way.

We got to the office but it was already closed for the day, only the people working overtime were still around. Susan and I got into the private elevator which I had never used, The elevator led only to one place,the c.e.o's office.

As the elevator opened at Noah's floor it made me a little uncomfortable, cause I knew what ever discussions we’d have, it would always end up in an argument.

"oh Noah son! am I not glad you are still here, you needed to see your bride in her dress! She looked like a real life Disney princess, so beautiful." Susan said immediately we got into Noah's office.

Noah on the other hand didn't bother to look up or even acknowledged that anyone had entered his office, he just casually continued what he was doing on his laptop.

"Mum I think you have had enough fun for today, I would call Mike to pick you up now." Noah said still not looking up at us.

And few minutes later, after finally acknowledging our presence in his office, he looked up at his mother.

"Aright then, I would leave you two love birds alone ok." she said giving her son a peck on the cheek and doing likewise to me as mike her bodyguard came to take her home.

"I would be on my way too." I said after Mrs knight left.

"No,sit." Noah said and raised his head to look at me finally.

I slowly nodded and took the chair in front of him,not wanting any arguments as I was very tired from today’s activity.

"How was it? I heard you were looking like a real life Disney princess." he said sarcastically, air quoting the real life Disney princess.

This made me upset, the evidence that he was mocking me or making jest of me and his mum.

I shook my head at him not wanting to argue or quarrel as I stood up to leave.

" I can't have this conversation with you sir, cause I am really tired and I have work tomorrow, so maybe some other time when I am not tired we could do this, I’m sorry."

What ever sarcasm that was playing on Noah's face vanished like smoke and was replaced with that one look everybody knew as the look he constantly has. Anger.

Why was he angry all of a sudden tho.

"I asked a question Scarlet and you would answer me." he said coldly at me.

" It was fine, and yes I looked like a Disney princess according to your mum now can I go?" I said frustrated.

" we are getting married on Saturday, can't wait for next week or two weeks time I need that married status immediately, I've told everyone including my mum, your aunt and sis and the press. You are the last person to know about this. For someone getting married you need a ring, right? So you would go out with me now so I could feed the press, they have been wondering who my mysterious bride is. So embrace yourself Scarlet Valeria." Noah said, looking at me while his face gives out no emotion.

"What?!, on Saturday? Why?" I said, feeling so confused.

"I just told you why. You should be smart Victoria, listen when i am talking to you,now let's go." Noah said, taking his suite jacket from his chair and headed to the door.

I was stark frozen on my feet, I was trying to understand what he meant by everything he said, and before I knew it, I was shedding tears,painful tears.

" for heaven sake scarlet I don't have- why would you cry?" Noah said when he noticed I was crying.

"How can you do this to me,first you threw a contract marriage at me, now you change things the way you want, have you ever thought for once about what I want? About my plans for my life that you are throwing into rumbles? I’m not some robot that you do whatever pleases you to.” I said angrily in tears.

"OK are you done? Can we get going now? I don't have time to waste and I don't tolerate time wasting,so let's go." Noah said, non remorseful leaving the office and leaving me behind.

After a few minutes I came out of the office and came in contact with a furious Noah.

"I said you don't waste my time! And when next you try something as annoying as this you'd wish I wasn't existing now let's go!" Noah said,pinning me to the wall, making me even more afraid of him than ever.

Suddenly, he let me go and went into the elevator, leaving me a shaking mess behind.

I followed him to the elevator, when it closed, I stayed as far away from him as possible in an elevator.

Noah on the other hand was talking angrily on the

phone.

When the elevator opened, I was about to step out, but Noah’s hand grabbed my hand and pulled me to him,so I was pressed up against him.

We stood that way for some minutes before he spoke.

"You are not a robot, you are beautiful, very,if I should add. I can't give you what you want cause I am not the man for you, the hell I can't be, but I need you to give me what I want for now, do this with me, okay?"

I was shocked and at the same time this feeling came to my heart, this feeling of not being afraid of him anymore, cause I didn't see a monster as i looked into his eyes at that moment.

I just nodded my head,and he let me go,taking my

hands in his as we stepped out of the elevator together.

Noah’s P.O.V

‘I hated what I did to her back at my office, she didn't deserve to be treated the way I was treating her, but how I always saw her as a threat was something I didn't understand. The way she walks, talk, behave, it was getting to me in a way no other woman has. This girl was different.’

When we were outside i opened the door of the car for her to get in. The car ride was quite, we both had things on our minds I guess. once in a while I’d glanced at her but this time when I did, I found her asleep.

I tapped her on her shoulder when we had arrived at the beach where I was planning on proposing to

her.

She folded herself in a ball which made me wonder how that was possible in a car.

"Wake up Scarlet, we are here." I said, still tapping her.

She made some kind of noise ..more like a moaning sound, it made me frown my brow's at her for a while.

After rubbing her eyes and moaning, she finally was awake.

" we are here." I said one last time.

"Oh okay" Scarlet said yawning a little.

When we got out of the car, the cool evening breeze made scarlet shiver a little, she inhaled the cool evening breeze for a while before turning to look my way which by the way, I was already staring at her.

It made her blush a little.

"the atmosphere suites you Scarlet, you make it look beautiful." I said, taking her hands and moving close to the water.

There were no much people around just one or two scattered around, every where was quite except for the sound the water was making.

I thought this was going to be romantic for Scarlet, walking on the beach in a cool evening at sun down with her Prince charming holding her hands,Even tho we both knew I was not her Prince Charming but at least I owe her this, since I am snatching two years out of her life.

"Scarlet." I said going on one knee when we got to the middle of the beach in front of the water.

"yeah?" She answered a bit confused at first but then I am guessing she remembered what I told her at the office and the confusion was gone.

"would you please marry me?" I asked and brought out a twenty four carat gold ring that had a heart shape

at the top.

it was simply beautiful, even tho I am guessing she knew it was all for the paparazzi. But what got me thinking was the unexplainable tear that ran down her face.

"yes, I would marry you" she said.

I placed the ring on her finger and stood up,giving her a peck on the lips and hugged her so close so that I could whisper in her ears.

"Its for the press, I’m sorry. The kiss I mean." I told her quietly into her ears.

Scarlet’s P.O.V

‘And that was how I got my first kiss, if only he knew.

I let out a breath i never knew i was holding as i relaxed a little into his arms. The kiss had been a

surprise as well as how he proposed.

I had no idea that he was going to give in so much effort just for the media.

I bit my lip, i had just gotten my first kiss from Noah Dollaganger knight. A man who didn't love me. Even tho it didn't happen the way i had imagined or wanted but still.’ I can’t stop thinking about it.’
