Episode 1: The Woman at the Door
The wedding was supposed to be perfect. White roses covered the walls of the grand hall. Crystal chandeliers glittered above hundreds of guests, and soft music filled the room as Daniel Carter stood beside the woman he was about to marry. He smiled for the cameras. But his smile disappeared when the wedding doors suddenly opened. Everyone turned. A woman stood in the doorway. She wore a long black dress. Her dark hair fell over her shoulders, and a thin scar rested near her left eyebrow. She looked calm. Too calm. A few guests gasped. Someone dropped a glass. Daniel froze. His face went completely pale. The woman slowly walked into the room. Daniel stared at her as if he were looking at a ghost. Then she stopped. Their eyes met. “Amelia?” The name escaped his lips like a whisper. The entire room fell silent. Three years ago, Amelia Hart had disappeared. Her car had been found abandoned near a bridge. The police searched for months, but they never found her body. Eventually, she was declared dead. Daniel had cried at her funeral. He had spent months blaming himself. And after three years of trying to move on, he was finally standing at the altar with another woman. Until now. Amelia looked directly at him. “Hello, Daniel.” His hands began to shake. The bride beside him stared at Amelia in disbelief. “No…” she whispered. “That's impossible.” Amelia's eyes moved toward her. A faint smile appeared on her lips. “Is it?” Daniel stepped away from the altar. “Where have you been?” Amelia didn't answer. Instead, she walked closer. Every step made Daniel's heart pound harder. “I've been looking for you,” he said. “No,” Amelia replied quietly. “You stopped looking a long time ago.” Daniel swallowed. “You were dead.” Amelia's smile disappeared. “That is what you were told.” The room erupted in whispers. Daniel looked around nervously before lowering his voice. “Who told you to come here?” Amelia stared at him. “I came because I wanted to see your face when you realized I survived.” Daniel's expression changed. Fear replaced confusion. “What do you know?” Amelia leaned closer. “I know what happened that night.” Daniel went completely still. For three years, he had believed Amelia's disappearance was a tragedy. But Amelia knew the truth. It wasn't an accident. Someone had planned it. Someone had betrayed her. And the person responsible was standing inside that wedding hall. Amelia looked around the room. Then her eyes stopped on one particular person. Her expression hardened. “You've all been living comfortably for three years.” She paused. “Now it's my turn to ask questions.” Daniel's voice trembled. “Amelia… please.” She looked at him one last time. “You should be afraid, Daniel.” Then she turned toward the door. Before leaving, she stopped. “Oh, and congratulations.” She glanced at the bride. “Your wedding is over.” The doors closed behind her. Daniel stood frozen. His bride slowly turned toward him. “Daniel…” He didn't answer. Because he was staring at the closed doors. And for the first time in three years, Daniel understood something terrifying. Amelia hadn't returned for forgiveness. She had returned for revenge. Daniel remained frozen in the middle of the wedding hall long after Amelia disappeared through the doors. The music had stopped. The guests were no longer whispering quietly. Everyone was talking at once, trying to understand what they had just witnessed. The bride stared at Daniel. “Who was she?” Daniel didn't answer. “Daniel.” Still nothing. She grabbed his arm. “Who was that woman?” Daniel finally looked at her. “Someone from my past.” “Someone from your past?” she repeated bitterly. “She was supposed to be dead!” Daniel's eyes narrowed. “Keep your voice down.” “Why?” she demanded. “Everyone already knows!” Daniel looked around the room. Hundreds of eyes were watching him. His mother stood near the front row, her face unusually pale. “Mom.” She didn't move. “Did you know?” Daniel asked. His mother looked away. That tiny movement was enough. Daniel's stomach tightened. “Mom… did you know Amelia was alive?” She finally looked at him. “I don't know what you're talking about.” “Don't lie to me.” His voice was louder this time. The guests fell silent again. His mother stepped closer. “Not here.” “Then where?” She grabbed his hand. “Daniel, you need to come with me.” He pulled his hand away. “No. You're going to tell me what you know.” Before she could answer, a phone rang. Everyone looked around. It was Daniel's. He pulled it from his pocket. The number was unknown. He hesitated before answering. “Hello?” There was silence. Then a woman's voice spoke. “Did you enjoy seeing me again?” Daniel's heart stopped. “Amelia?” A soft laugh came through the phone. “You still recognize my voice.” “Where are you?” “Somewhere you can't reach me.” “Why did you come here?” “Because I wanted you to know that I'm alive.” Daniel clenched his jaw. “Then tell me what happened.” There was another pause. “You really want to know?” “Yes.” “Then ask your mother.” The call ended. Daniel stared at the screen. His mother was watching him. “What did she say?” she asked. Daniel slowly raised his eyes. “She told me to ask you.” His mother's face changed. For the first time, Daniel saw fear in her eyes. Meanwhile, several streets away, Amelia sat inside a black car. She watched the wedding hall from a distance. The driver looked at her through the mirror. “Are you sure you want to do this?” Amelia looked down at the photograph in her hand. It was an old picture of her and Daniel. She turned it over. On the back, someone had written a message three years ago. RUN. DON'T TRUST ANYONE. Amelia had spent three years trying to discover who wrote those words. She had finally found the answer. But the answer was more frightening than she expected. She opened her phone and looked at a list of names. There were six people on it. Six people who had been connected to the night she disappeared. Daniel's name was at the top. Her finger hovered over the screen. Then she added another name. Daniel's mother. Amelia stared at the list. “This is only the beginning,” she whispered. The driver started the engine. “Where to?” Amelia looked toward the wedding hall one last time. “Take me home.” The car pulled away. But Amelia didn't notice the dark SUV following them. Inside the SUV, a man watched her car disappear into the distance. He picked up his phone. “She came back.” A voice answered. “Are you sure?” “Yes.” There was silence. Then the voice said four words. “Get rid of her.” The man smiled. “Gladly.” Inside Amelia's car, her phone suddenly vibrated. A message appeared on the screen. YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED DEAD. Amelia stared at it. For the first time that night, her confident expression disappeared. She looked out the window. The black SUV was still behind them. Someone had found her. And this time, she wasn't sure she would survive.....
