Nana looked up and smiled at Lacey. "Welcome back," she said in a low voice. "Come sit with us." Nana patted the spot on the ground next to her. Lacey slowly walked over, and Nana held her hand up for support as Lacey knelt down. "Has there been any change since I left?" Lacey inquired.
"Ah, yes, something did happen," Nana said grimly. Lacey stared, waiting for Nana to continue. "I'm not sure how to explain it, but a little while after you and Jack left, Noland's body suffered a seizure. It was the oddest thing," she said, staring at Noland's body.
"Everything was normal one moment, and then the seizure happened the next. His heartbeat became irregular, as did his breathing. He convulsed for a very long time, and then it stopped."
