Chapter seventeen

Rose's POV
I wake up the next morning to my alarm going off and surprisingly no new messages or missed calls from anyone after i had went to sleep.
"I wonder if my mom has been at all." I think to myself as i get ready for school.
I picked out a black tank top followed by some blue jeans that have angel wings on the back pockets, my black cowboy boots, and my leather jacket. I left my hair my blonde hair flow down around my shoulders and put on some some mascara, eye liner, and a light pink lip stick. Once I'm done I check myself in the mirror, grab my back pack and phone. I head downstairs to find my mother fast asleep on the couch. So, I quietly grab my keys and an apple from the fridge.
I walk outside and attempt to start my truck and after a few tries it doesn't want to start.
"Well this is a great way to start the day." I say, as I grab my phone and call River.
Within a few minutes he's in my driveway with his mustang.
"Thanks for picking me up. I don't know why my truck wouldn't start." I say, in a hushed voiced because I'm just a little bit embarrassed.
"Don't worry about it. I'll look at it after school." He says, backing out of the driveway and heading towards the school.
We get to school and everyone one else is already there just hanging around Kyle's car.
As we stand around waiting for the bell to ring River keeps tickling me and kissing my neck and nibbling on my ears.
"Go get a room if you can't keep it in your pants." Says Kyle.
So out of spite River goes over and kissed Kyle on the cheek. And they spend the remainder of the time chasing each other around the parking lot and at some point they even got Tanner involved.
"Why do guys have to be so childish sometimes'" Kailey says, shaking her head.
"I don't know, but it sure is funny to watch." I say.
"That's for sure." She says back grabbing her bag from the back sweat of Kyle's car.
After about ten minutes the guys return from chasing each other.
"Not fair. I don't get why you guys dragged me into that." Tanner says.
"It was because you laughed first and started making kissy faces at us." Says Kyle.
"Okay boys fun time is over." Kailey says, walking to the front door of the school dragging Kyle and Tanner with her.
"So, why did you kiss him?" I ask, River.
"Because he looked lonely. And to see how he'd react, besides he knew it was a joke." River says, grabbing my hand as we walk to the front door.
As we reach the door something doesn't feel right and I look over at River and i can see he senses it as well.
"Maybe we should just go home."
"No, you've missed to much school baby." River says, kissing the top of my head.

As the day goes by the bad feeling I had got this morning increases and I can't help that it's starting to make me feel sick.
"Hey, are you okay? You look really pale." Kailey says, as we are working on an assignment for our third period class.
"Yeah, I'm okay just a little tired is all."
"Okay, but if there was something wrong you'd tell me right?" She asks.
"Yes if something was wrong you'd be one of the first people I'd tell Kailey."
After another hour went by it was finally lunch time and my stomach was growling so loudly that i thought everyone could hear it.
"Let's go eat off campus." Tanner says.
"That sounds fine with me. What about yall? I ask, turning towards the rest of the group and they all nod in agreement.
"Whatever you want to do is just fine by me baby." River says, putting his arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him.
"Okay well then how does everyone feel about pizza?" Kailey asks.
"It's decided then pizza it is." Tanner says, climbing into Kyle's car along with Kyle and Kailey. While River and I climb into River's car.
A few minutes later we pull into this cute little pizza place. As we walk in the boys are arguing about who's car is faster. When River gets a phone call that seems to distract him from the rest of us.
"Is everything okay?" I ask, putting my hand on his arm.
"Yeah, everything is just fine." he says, putting his arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him as we walk into the door and take a seat at one of the tables .
"Does everyone know what they would like to drink?" The waitress asks.
"Two large pepperoni pizza's and a bottle of Dr.Pepper with five glasses." River tells, the waitress.
"Will that be all?" The waitress asks as she writes down our order.
"That's all."
"Okay. I'll be right back with the drinks and then the pizza's."
A little while later we get our food and all dive right in before having to head back to school.
