Chapter 1
Sharon Reynold's POV The sun poured from the side of the curtain that was opened, shining directly on my exposed skin. I groaned, as I slowly turned. I pushed my nose into the bed, and a certain scent clogged my nose. A scent that wasn't mine. Immediately, my eyes flew open and they wandered around the huge room that definitely wasn't mine. If I wasn't in my room, then... Where was I? And then, my eyes stopped moving, as I stared down at the stretch of naked flesh beside me. Wh-what was happening? My breath hitched deep in my throat as I examined the owner of such glowing skin. It was a man. Not just any man, one with a f*****g well sculpted body. But what...what was he doing here? Hell, who was he? I took a peek into the bedsheet and I realised that I was naked! He was also naked too! Oh no! A sudden realization washed over me as I realized that I was in an unfamiliar room with an unfamiliar man in a very unfamiliar situation. In fact, everything was unfamiliar. "The f**k!" I cursed under my breath, and I punched the bed. The stranger groaned and turned. Shit! I cursed even more under my breath. As he turned, I took the bedsheet and fully covered my body, as I felt so exposed, even though somehow, I had spent the night with him....stark naked! "Um," he started saying, as I slowly turned to face him and question him. Now, he was fully awake and staring at me with sharp gray eyes that were hooded with sleep....and something I couldn't quite place my finger on. Lust? Ugh, such bastard. His eyes ran over my body, taking in every detail, making me feel even more exposed that I was already feeling. At the same time, his glare made me feel somewhat sexy. "W-who are you?" I asked the very handsome stranger. "You asked me to touch you last night, and I did?" He said to me nonchalantly before rolling his eyes, and I could only stare back at him. I...asked him to...touch me? It sounded like a lie and I was about to call him a liar when slowly, memories of me walking down the corridors, tipsy as hell and burning for a man's touch came to me. I had indeed asked him to touch me and even offered to pay him money for his services. How crude! I totally remembered the tall handsome stranger who possessed piercing gray eyes and a rather chiseled jaw. I remembered him staring at me as I had stood at the party and sipped my drink. I remembered our gaze locking countless times and me flirting with my eyes and lips. He was sexy, was I not allowed to flirt back at him? And soon after when I had been tipsy, I had abandoned the crowded gathering and the loud music and headed for the corridor as a burning feeling spread throughout my body. I was horny. I needed a man. "Where to, pretty lady?" a smooth voice had whispered beside me. It had been him when I had turned. "Shall I help you return to the party?" I remembered that I had shook my head and embraced him. "Make love to me," I had whispered softly. "I will pay you." "There's no need for that pretty lady. I lack nothing," was all he had said before he kissed me. He kissed me like he needed me too, as much as I needed him. We had gone into the nearest room and fallen into bed with our bodies entwined and an overwhelming passion that consumed everything in its path like a wildfire. "I remember," I said to him with a sly smile. I slid out of the bed and began to get into my clothes that were scattered all over the floor. It must have been a quite interesting night, my inner thighs throbbed with a dull pain and I moved as quickly as I could. He stood and began to do the same. "Thanks for last night," I told him as I pulled on my suit jacket. "We could do this again," he said to me as he added his cufflinks to his shirt hand. "Probably," I said, giving him my business card from my hand bag. "I'll call you," he said just as he took his phone, typed out the number and dialed mine. My phone rang in my purse and he smiled. I shook my head lightly at his humour. "See you some other time," I said heading for the door. He ran out after me and followed behind me as I slipped through the door. "You go ahead," I said to him in the parking lot. "Good-bye." I did not bother to say anything as I got into my car and drove myself to work. It took me about ten to fifteen minutes but I got there eventually. I stepped out of my car and walked into the Reynolds PLC. The well dressed employees stopped to greet me and I made my way to the elevator. This renowned company was beautiful beyond doubt, and I, Sharon Reynolds, was its CEO. I stepped into my private elevator and waited for the door to close shut so I could admire myself in the mirror like I always do. I stood confidently, composed as I arranged my cream pants suit one more time. I was feeling self conscious because I had worn it to work the day before, and I was sure that it had that gray-eyed, sexy stranger's scent stuck to it. I breathed out, and stepped out, hoping I'd feel better. "Good morning!" My secretary, Alina, stood to greet me the moment that I showed up. "Thank you," I replied and then walked into my office. I kept my hand bag on the office sofa and headed into my private room. I picked out a new dress from the small collection and slid into the corporate attire. I had chosen a plain green emerald dress that matches the colour of my sparkling emerald eyes. The luxurious material hugged my curves slightly, accentuating my slender but hourglass figure. I arranged my long golden brown hair which cascaded down my back like a silky waterfall, framing my heart shaped face. I felt more confident with the version of me that was staring back in the floor to ceiling mirror that was inside my plush private room. The sound of a knock on my office door had me slipping into matching green shoes and going out into the main office as I invited who I suspected to be my secretary in. It was Alina as I had thought. She walked in with a really worried look on her face. I studied her with my brows raised in question. "What is it, Alina?" I asked her as I took a seat at my table. She hesitated to speak. "Alina?" "Well, Miss Reynolds, at this point in time, you are currently going viral on social media," she finally voiced out with a concerned tone. "Aren't I always trending on social media, Alina?" I waved off the matter as unserious. "No, ma'am! It is serious this time!" She told me as she whipped out her phone. She did one or two things on it while I waited patiently and then she handed it to me to see. The news headline was captioned thus: "The CEO of Reynolds PLC was caught in a very Compromising Position." Along with this headline was a photo of myself and the man from earlier this morning. My heart sank as I stared at the screen of the phone, my entire body trembling. What now?
