Chapter 2

Clary’s POV

Jace came into my room to wake me up by pouring ice cold water on me I jump out bed from the shock and give him the death glare the whole time he is on the floor laughing at me, “Jace What the hell man come on” I shouted at him after he finished his fits of laughter came closer “Well I can’t get our birthday breakfast if your still in bed plus I wanted to be the first to wish you happy birthday sis” Jace came to give me a hug, I couldn’t stay mad at him “Happy birthday to you too little bro” I say with a smirk on my face Jace just rolled his eyes and pulled me down stairs to my surprise mom and dad wasn’t there I turned to Jace confused “Where is everyone” I say still confused as they are always here, looking at Jace he seemed as confused as me until the door to the dinning room opened and everyone ran in screaming HAPPY BIRTHDAY we was both shocked. Once we had our breakfast Edward, Chase and Bella went to get everything ready for the party, I went to my room “Clary, Jace I will see you before you go to the party I have a meeting with the new alpha so I wouldn’t want to miss being here for you both” dad shouted from down stairs, I rolled my eyes “ok dad” we both said in unison.

I walked in the shower and washed my hair and then grabbed my body wash and started washing my body in the lovely coconut wash, when Stella my wolf started to whimpering in my head which I have no idea why so I blocked her out. I got out and put my towel round me and dried my hair then curled it, then done my makeup lightly with eye liner to capture my eyes, I brought a new blue dress that was thigh high and paired it with my flat blue doll shoes. Once I was happy with how I looked I went to get Jace who was already in the kitchen he turned around once he saw me with a drop month and smiled at him. “You look amazing but I think that dress is to short” Jace said but didn’t push anything “Thanks but this is a party so we need to get there right?” I said while smiling at him “Dad just called we need to head to his office first though” Jace informed me, I rolled my eyes just wish one day dad didn’t call us to his office even on our birthday “well we better go so we can then get to this party” I said turning to leave the house.

Me and Jace walked in to dad’s office without knocking and there was someone sitting in a chair opposite his desk dad looked up and smiled “Clary, Jace this Alex he is the alpha of New west moon pack” I was just stuck in the spot as the most amazing smell surrounded me when Stella shouted “MATE”, Jace’s voice broke my thought when he started speaking to him “Nice to meet you” Jace being polite to him I just stood there until dad said in mind link to me “speak to him don’t be so rude” I shook my head “Yeah nice to meet you right we are off dad” I said keep my eyes on my dad “Okay Alex will be joining you both as well” Dad informed us I turned on my heels as quick as I could to get out the office as I didn’t want a mate and their he was sitting with my father. Jace ran after me as I walked to the party as fast as I could “Clary what is going on with you” Jace asked concerned written all over his face “nothing Jace I just want to start this party and start drinking” I replied Jace just nodded when he knew there was more to it but didn’t want to push for an answer.

When we got to the Training field, the bonfire was already set up music was already playing and both packs was together Bella ran to me to drag me to the drinks table, we done 5 shots of sambuca and a cup of beer as it takes loads of drink to get us drunk we had a buzz, Edward and Chase came over with Jace to get a drink. Chase dragged me to the dance floor and everyone else followed I downed my drink and started grinding Chase when Alex arrived he looked angry and stormed over towards us, but I got hold of Bella and ran towards the crowed to lose him after I masked my sent. We went to the table to get a drink, watching everyone having fun and enjoying themselves brought a smile to my face. Bella brought me out of my thoughts “Why did you run from that guy? Who is he?” Bella asked me I just looked at her and she knew without me saying anything just making a o form with her mouth, “He is the new alpha, dad invited him to stay” I trying to cover most of my anxiety about him being my mate. Bella pulled me into a hug and pulled me away “Look Clary he isn’t going to be like Luke” Bella said and I cringed at the mention of his name and started to panic, as she was about to pull me in for another hug I pulled away and ran out of the field.

I ended up by the falls where me and Jace come to think, tears coming down my face I had zoned out and didn’t even know that I was no longer alone until an arm came around my shoulders. I jumped and saw it was Jace who sat by me, he looked worried “Clary what is the matter” Jace asked me with so much concern in his voice. “Bella and I was talking and she mentioned him and I keep remembering what he done and with what he said about coming back when I turned 18” I said then unable to control my tears Jace pulled me into a hug to calm me down. He knew why I was worried as dad never found Luke we lost all trace of him, Jace had to stay in my room until a few months ago because of the nightmares and having my brother close made me calm down. “Jace can we go back now please?” I asked after getting myself calmer “if you want to sis” Jace gave me a big smile which I turned to smile back at him. Edwards and Chase came running over to us when we by the tree line of the field “WHERE HAVE YOU BOTH BEEN?” chase shouting at us “I needed some time to myself” I said “SHE IS MY SISTER SO I KNOW WHERE SHE WAS AND I CHECKED ON HER” Jase shouted getting annoyed with Chase and rolled his eyes and dragging me to get a drink. “Are you going to keep me by your side all night” I asked Jace as he hasn’t let go of me yet and giving most people the death glare if they tried coming close to me “Clary if anything ever happened to you I will not be able to forgive myself it will break me” Jace said looking sad “Jace I’m a lot stronger now, yes I still have panic attacks but I will be able to handle it all” I finally said feeling proud of myself. While we was watching everyone some hands wrap around my waist and pull me I scream and hit a strong chest Jase turned very fast ready to attack, when I opened my eyes and saw those sky blue eyes I knew it was Alex “MINE” he growled and looked at Jace, I started shaking trying to get out of his hold which didn’t work Jase stepped by us both “Alex you need to let her go” Jace said using a strong voice and his eyes flicking from his blue/green eyes to black as Hunter wanted to protect me, “SHE IS MINE” Alex said while growling at him, “ALEX LET GO OF ME RIGHT NOW” I growled even louder while Stella was purring in my head being close to her mate. Alex looked at me shocked that I used my alpha voice on him, his eye was as black as the night sky “NO MATE YOU ARE MY LUNA AND I’M NOT LETTING YOU RUN OFF WITH ALL THESE MALES HERE INCLUDING THIS ONE” Alex said looking at Jace, my eyes followed his line of vision and started laughing with tears coming down my face Alex looked confused at me “you do know Jace is my twin brother right?” I asked in between laughing Jace just stood there looking angry at what Alex was implying that we were more, Chase and Edward being betas came running over as they heard the shouting and ready to defend us both. “Alex let me go please I don’t want a mate” I said Alex let me go and sadness ran though his eyes “are you rejecting me” Alex asked not making eye contact with me “I didn’t say I was rejecting you but I need time” I confessed I don’t like hurting anyone “Alex there is a lot you don’t know about me and I’m not ready to open up about it” I said to him as I slowly walk away as Jace, Edward and Chase follow me Alex just stood stunned for a moment the pulled Jace to talk with him, I just carried on walking to get a drink.
