Chapter 5

Third party POV

Everyone arrived back at the pack house, Clary went straight to her bedroom but Alex was right on her heels so he could keep her safe. Clary opened the door to her bedroom but headed straight for the bathroom and locked the door as she didn’t want to talk to anyone including her mate.

“Clary open the door please” Alex said in pleading with her

“NO” Clary said upset and tears in her eyes, she had slide down the door to the floor and was so lost in her own thoughts that she had not heard Alex reply to her with anger in his voice. She was pulled from her thoughts when her bathroom door cracked above her head and she ran to the other side, lucky no one other than her father knew of a secret door in the bathroom. Clary made her way into the secret room that mirrored her own room with a kitchen, bathroom, living room with a 60inch flat screen tv and clean clothes, she went into the bathroom and had a shower and sat on the settee with her knees on pulled up to her chin, tears slowly running down her face when the door opened Alex came down and sat beside her.

Alex’s POV

I walk into a secret room and see Clary crying, I wanted to pull her straight into me and hold her tight. I allowed her family to take charge of finding her due to I froze and couldn’t think how to get her back, having all this guilt inside me is driving me crazy I can’t lose her she is my one, my everything. “Clary baby I’m sorry I couldn’t keep you safe” I finally said with sadness in my voiceHer eyes finally look up into mine as if looking to my soul, her expression didn’t show any emotion just her salty tears running down her cheeks. “it’s not you that should be sorry Alex, I went out with him and I was weak and still feel like that even now” my beautiful Clary spoke softly with all the sorrow she has been holding in comes out in her voice. I sit there wanting to ask so many questions as to what happened for him to be that way with her, as he claimed to love her why did he feel he could hurt her when you love someone you protect them. Finally, I come out of my thoughts “Clary can you tell me why he was such a monster to you” I hope my wolf can control his anger for the reply which we both need.

Clary’s POV

I look off in to the distance as I was deep in thought remembering when I first met Luke. “Hey I’m Luke you must be Jace’s sister” Luke said with a warm smile on his face and big bright chocolate brown eyes “Hi yeah I’m Clary nice to finally meet you. Are you guys finished your football practice?” I asked with a friendly smile on my face, “Yeah Jace is just getting changed you must be picking him up?” Luke was trying to start a conversation with me which I was more than happy to talk with him while waiting on Jace. “no, we car share when we both have practice so he wanted to drive today and I just finished my football practice” I say standing there feeling comfortable, I never seem this comfortable talking to guys unless we are in training. Makes me wonder if he is my mate but as soon as the thought enters my mind I drop it when a skinny red head wraps her arms around Luke and starts kissing him in from of me, I then see Jace coming so I walk away heading to Jace I give him a hug while all the cheerleaders give me death glares. Once we get to the car Luke comes running up “HEY Jace wait up man” Luke shouted while panting while running “what’s up man I have other training to get to” Jace says frustrated with Luke not sure why though. “Any chance for a ride back to the pack house please?” Luke looks at Jace is begging for the lift back home. After rolling his eyes he replies with “Sure get in” in a depend tone. Before I get chance to open the door Luke holds it open for me with a big smile on his face which made think of a player which I will be staying away from Jace was just annoyed for a reason I will be finding out when we get home. “So, Clary can we go out on a date when you are free” Luke said giving me puppy dog eyes which most people can’t say no to but me I just turned can looked him straight in the eye’s “No” I say confident he will stop looking at me as if he has seen me naked made me feel creepy at first. As the weeks went on Luke was always around with me and Jace, finally I agreed to start dating Luke which turned to be a good idea at the time. One night at a party I was talking with my friends Chase and Edward having a laugh and joking around, Luke had told me he wouldn’t be attending so I went with friends because I hadn’t spent much time together and I missed them, Luke doesn’t give me much time for my family or friends Jace started to question Luke on how much time does he need to spend with me. Edward started to flirt with a girl I don’t know her name well as she was younger them me so left me and Chase talking due to someone spilling there drink over me Chase was helping me clean up Luke walked in, he was in a bad mood he punched Chase in the face with a sickening brake of his nose, I screamed “WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM” I shout right in his face to protect my friend from him but once he looks at me I know I’m in trouble his eyes which was normally chocolate brown now charcoal black he grabbed my arm really tight that I winced “you’re coming with me slut” Luke said with so much venom in his voice and dragged me out of the house. Chase went and got Edward and Jace as he knew I was in trouble, Luke took me in the forest to the training ground. He turns and looks at me “YOU STUDIP SLUT” smack right in my face “YOU ARE MY GIRL AND YOU FLIRT WITH ANOTHER MALE” smack in the face again sending me to the floor before I can get up he kicks me in the stomach and repeats over and over again, shouting at me “YOU HAVE MADE ME DO THIS TO MAKE YOU LEARN WHO YOU ARE WITH” Luke shouts before I blackout. I wake up in the pack hospital a week later 6 broken ribs, internal bleeding and punched lung, lucky being a wolf I was able to heal. Luke was nowhere to be seen, Jace telling me that he left the pack and not sure where he is. After being realised from hospital I go to my room to find a note telling me that he will always be watching me and will come back for me. I call my dad and show him the note which he put with another one which I didn’t see. That night I woke up screaming thinking I see Luke outside my window Jase comes running in to protect me “Clary what happened?” Jace asks with concern all over his face. “He is outside my window Jace” I say between sobs.Finally, I look at Alex to see his reaction which he just looked at me with sorrow “I’m sorry, but you know I will not allow anything to happen to you” Alex says with so much love in his voice and we just sit there.
