Through the fire

"Hey guys, hurry up or we will miss our flights"It was 4pm in the evening but her whole friend group had already managed to annoy the holy Mary out of Aviella. They all knew they were supposed to be at the bustop by 5,but even though they knew of the heavy traffic right now due to rush hour, they were still taking their time. One by one, they slowly came out grumbling that it was still early and they would surely make it on time to catch the bus. She just rolled her eyes and rushed them all to get into the car. She and her other 5 friends;Marie,Pierre, Daniel, Fabio and Juan we're going on an all round paid trip to Italy to celebrate the passing of their bar exam. Having had sleepless nights in preparation for their exams, they felt they needed a much needed break and just let loose. Lucky enough traffic wasn't much today, thank God, and they arrived and checked into their bus terminals on time. As they settled into their seats, the bus driver's voice could be heard through the speakers telling passengers aboard to settle down as they were about to start their journey Shortly after, they took off smoothly on their way to Andora on a 3 hour drive The whole group immediately went to sleep as they had partied till late and had only ran on an a few hours sleep. The time ran fast and they soon had arrived "Andora acknowledge me! " Juan said a loud mimicking the words often said by Roman Reigns a famous WWE wrestler. This earned them a few amused and disapproving looks sent their way as they burst into giggles. "Guys I can't believe we are in I Andora right now. We have been dreaming of coming here together for a while now"Marie, ever so cheerful and bubbly, said. " I know right, I can't wait to go ski touring and quad biking. "Aviella said as she is the die hard outdoorsy lover. She could go on and on about the different activitiesif allowed to. " Hold your horses now, we need to get our luggage and get a move on as people are staring coz we are just standing here like a bunch of idiots,"Fabio said, always the voice of reason. That got them moving as they were soon out and into their designated cars on their way to their hotel. As soon as they arrived, they got changed, had something to eat as it was night already and they hit 'The Club Lucio' to jump start their two weeks holiday. "To hard work, success, money and a good life ahead"Pierre gave a toast before they had their shots of tequila. They all hooted and cheered as they made their way to the dance floor. They all soon had partnered up;Aviella with Fabio as he had a thing for her and he would be damned if he let a man close to her, Marie with Juan as everyone suspected they was a thing going on between them even though Marie was already married to a business tycoon with whom they already had a child together. The rest just danced with girls they met at the dance floor. Shot after shot they drank the night away up until 2 am when they left the club for a drive around town in their rented escalade. They drove around until they stumbled across a cliff off a deserted road which offered a magnificent view of the city with all its shining lights and splendor. "Damn, so this is the happiness money can buy? I should kiss your mother for this Fabio, even though she doesn't like me. " Aviella said as she sat down by the cliff side to enjoy the view. Having come from a middle class household, neither of them except Fabio and Marie could have afforded this luxurious trip, that's why when gifted the trip they were so excited. "It's not like she doesn't like you, it's that she hasn't gotten to know you that well, 'Fabio tried to water down the situation. Aviella just laughed at this. " Fabio, she told me herself to stay away from you as she doesn't like me. " The rest just hummed in agreement. "Not helping guys, " Fabio complained. "Hey, let's not ruin the mood and pop some pills instead" Daniel said as he produced a packet of small white pills.. "Holy Mary mother of God! How did you get that?!You know we would have been caught if found right?! "Aviella exclaimed as they all threw Daniel disapproving looks. " Come down guys. I had my ways. I ensured I wouldn't get caught. We are on holiday guys, live a little. Let loose and have some fun. We are on holiday for heaven's sake"Daniel said as he took one pill and passed the rest to the others who did the same. "But just know I ain't driving, " Aviella said as took the pill. "Don't worry I will drive as I can hold my own more than any of you, " Marie said. They were soon higher than a kite, laughing at all the silly things they said as they reminiced about the silly pranks they did on their Proffesors and classmates. As it was getting late, they got into their car and drove off back to their hotel. As they drove down a deserted road;all the while singing to One Direction, they suddenly hit something causing Marie to hit the breaks and stop. The car went silent as they all thought the worst. "What was that? " Juan broke the silence. "I'm pretty sure it's nothing let us just go, it's getting creepy here! " Pierre expresses as he fidgettted in his chair. "Let's go out and check, just to be sure it isn't somebody." Fabio said even though hesistant. Half heartedly, they all got out and roundes the car. Everyone gasped as Marie started to cry. It was worse than what they expected, they had hit a woman with a baby.
