Chapter Three     “You have to focus on bringing all of your power to your hands, see?” Elowen held her hands close together and closed her eyes. I watched seconds go by as purple flames started to form the shape of a ball in the palm of her hand.      She was able to conjure even the smallest of flames in her hands while I’m struggling with mine. Elowen let the flames disperse into the air and looked at me expectantly. I grumbled but still brought my hands together and focused. There was a jolt of electricity in me before a spark forced my hands to repel as I created an electric flame. I looked to Elowen in excitement as I made the flame bigger.      I slowly moved my hands in a circle to spin the flame. It was blue with little lightning particles sparking all over the place. It was honestly mesmerizing.     “Elowen how do I make it go away?” I questioned. The flame only kept growing as fear started to consume me. Elowen quickly came over and cupped her hands over mine.     “You have to calm down, force your power down.”     I nodded and tried to focus on getting the flame to diminish, but it wasn’t working. Elowen whispered something under her breath. Slowly I felt the rush of power leave my body, leaving the flame to diminish and me tired. My legs collapsed against the weight of my body, leaving Elowen to catch me.     “That was just a small spell to calm you down,” she said siting us down on a bench. “I could feel your power overwhelming you, sorry.”       Nodding my head I could feel my consciousness fade away till nothing but darkness was all I could see.
