CHAPTER THREE

1480 Words
Manisha moved around the kitchen as she set the dinner table for the children Theo and Tanner’s Since it was their second birthday, she knew Andreas wouldn’t miss it. He never missed anything she deemed important. She spent decorating cake all day on the counter. Life was wonderful for the past two years. She threw all energy and single-minded passion into bringing up the two little precious boys. The first time they called her, she had cried for an entire day until Andreas came to find her in her bathroom; her face red from the sobs she couldn’t hide. It had taken Andreas months to convince her to let the boys call her mama. Even then she cried every day they called her mama. Until one day Andreas snapped at her, “what would it take you to believe you are their mother. Because I can promise you, they are. They wouldn’t know another woman as a mother, ever.” The next day Andreas brought his lawyer with him with the adoption papers for her to sing.   Sometimes Manisha worried she was letting life go passed her. She thought less of the haunting memories of losing Brian and her baby. The nightmare she had to lessen over the year. Andreas didn’t have to shake her out of the screaming nightmare. For the life of her though, she couldn’t get her fear of cars no matter what she did. She never left the state. Thank god she had something to carry her over her grief. Running Andrea's house and raising the children became her entire focus.   Slowly but surely Manisha transformed from the terrifying fragile girl to a stronger woman. If Andreas's temper didn’t scare, she didn’t think there was anything else able to scare her. She hummed under her breath as she prepared the much-expected birthday dinner for the kids. Having been bullied to making ice cream as the first thing they have for dinner was just the cherry on top for Theo and Tanner. The offering of hugs and kisses for her effort wasn't bad either.   “Ma’am you can’t touch the children. No, lady, I said no. Don’t make get physical with you.” The increasing shouts of voices intruded on Manisha’s tranquil peace. She turned the stove off, remembering she left the two kids with Drew and Mike playing Livingroom. The voices got louder, and the terrified scream of Theo had her running out full force.  “Give me my children, you mongrels. You can’t keep them away from me. Does Andreas think him and his w***e could just live here and have my children?   Manisha grabbed the first woman holding Theo by the scruff of his neck. The collar of the yellow colour shirt he had choking the little boy. She twisted the hand; the woman yelped and dropped the boy. Manisha picked up Theo and pushed Tanner behind before the tall middle-aged man with the two women could touch her baby.   “You w***e did you think you could keep my children from me. Or you could hide here and Andreas will keep you safe from us.”  The woman launched for her. Mike appeared before her before she could touch her or the children. Drew was blocking the attempts from the enormous man. Manisha moved with the children back away from the living area entrance. The older who was smiling the entire time stocked her now. Manisha didn’t know who let these crazy people into their home, but one thing was for sure. They weren’t taking the kids while she still had breath in her body. It was obvious they were here to cause problems.   In one quick move, she also picked up Tanner, settling him on her other hip. The woman moved with her with a sick deliberation and cold, calculating look on her face. Wild energy to her that made Manisha think of a rabbit animal with enough understanding to harm other injured and helps animals. The two little boys tucked their faces into her neck. Their little bodies trembled with fear. She felt their tears on her t-shirt.   “I don’t know who you are lady but there is nothing for you here. Leave before I call the police on all of you.” The older woman’s face twisted into an ugly mask of fury.   “You think, you low life, nobody who is whoring for Andreas tells me what to do? Everyone in Greece knows what a little slut you. Trash like you will never keep my grandchildren my me.”  Manisha didn’t see the woman move, but felt the stinking smack on her cheek. She tightened her hold on the boys. Her face throbbed. She moved quickly for someone her age. Her face felt feverish, and she felt the trickling of blood on her cheek, sure one of the red-tinted claws like nails had cut her. Manisha didn’t want to put the boy down. No doubt these three were not the only ones in the house.   “Give me my grandsons. Hand them this instant you whore.”   Manisha shook her head, her expression one of determination. Mike and Drew, the two bodyguards Andreas insisted on hiring, were busy holding the two other intruders. Manisha didn’t care who they were, she would hold off these people until Andreas got home. It wouldn’t be long before he came home.   “How does it feel knowing you are nothing to Andreas but another w***e for him to screw just as he does out of these four walls? Knowing you are nothing special. My daughter gave him these little brats. Do you think you can compete with that kind of title in Andreas’s life? Hand those children to their true mother and go back to whatever hellhole your kind comes from.”   Andreas stepped out of the chopper just as the truck parked outside of the helipad. He knew soon or later the Laoukas family would try to take his children, but what he didn’t expect was the stupidity of coming to his home and attacking his family while he was in the city and a short drive away. He threw his suit jacket and his case to the back seat. He barely had the door closed before Jace piled out and head toward the house.   “How did the Laoukas get into my home, Jace? I have state-of-the-art security and guards in the property.” Andreas was so angry his vision was a hazy red. He spent millions of dollars on the security of his property and family. This kind of thing was not supposed to happen.   “Someone missed with the security system man. By the time they noticed, the phone signals were lost and someone rammed the northern wall. Most of the security men went to check while others did a security round on the property. The boy at the get just let them in and they didn’t show up alone. The had almost thirty men and police with them. Sorry man, unless we want the guards to shoot the police, they couldn’t do anything else.”   The boyish man ran his hand through his hair. Icy rage swept through Andreas, freezing the blood in his veins. He would ruin them. It seemed they forgot Andreas owned their company and properties. It was time he thought his enemies a lesson to never cross him again. The large three-story house came into view. It had twenty-six sweets and two living rooms, a home theatre, indoor swimming pool, a spa room, underground wine cellar, four elevators, a pool room, a gaming room, bowling alley, tennis court, basketball court, a library bigger than any he had seen, outdoor swimming pool, guest house, servants house, and security house.   Andreas fought to stay in the car until it stopped before jumping out and running toward the shouts and crying of his children. He took the steps to the door in two and entrance before rounding into the large open living area. He didn’t stop until he grabbed Sylvia Laoukas from the back of the neck and pulled her off Manisha and his sons. His voice fuelled by his temper came out like a whip freezing everyone in their truck.  “Get out of my house.” The women moved before they registered his words. Castor Laoukas Haley’s father straightened. “We came to take our grandchildren, Andreas. Your w***e can’t raise my grandchildren, I wouldn't let it happen.” The older man flustered, trying to intimidate everyone there.   “Did I ask you what you were doing here? Andreas’s voice had a terrible crooning to it. Panic showed on the faces of the Laoukas family.   “We heard you are having your w***e raise our grandchildren. My daughter is their birth mother. She should raise her children. We don’t want them to learn your kind of behavior.” Sylvia screeched.   Andreas’s hands curled into too tight fists. His words so could the other expected to see frost coming out of his mouth. He enunciated each word, “Get out of my house this instant.” Fear showed on the faces of every Laoukas there. The scrambled-out hastily making their way out of his house. Andreas was so unbelievably angry he didn’t know he followed them until the soft hand on his shoulder stopped him dead.
