We walk in school hand in hand. Flora and Brody walk over to us and Flora grabs my arm and pulls me to her ear and whispers
“Did you guys kiss? And why is the chunk of blonde hair so big?”
“Yes we did. Because we have a mental connection.” I whisper back
“No. You know what else comes with that if you draw on yourself he can see it too.”
“Holy s**t I forgot about that. I don’t know why my mom and dad didn’t tell us about it.”
“Probably because you are an amazing artist. And maybe they thought you knew. How was the kiss?”
“It was amazing.” I giggle. Flora starts talking on and on about something.
*What are you two talking about.* Jace asks I giggle because it caught me off guard. Flora looks at me and says
“Is he talking to you?” I look up with a smile on my face and nod
*It’s none of your business*
*Oh your a una fierbinte*
“What is he saying to you?” Flora asks.
“He said oh your a una fierbinte. Do you know what that means?” I ask
“No.” Brody pulls her back and says
“You know there are four of us not two.” Brody has black hair with deep blue eyes and muscular arms. My thoughts get cut off when Jace pulls me into his chest.*Why are you thinking this Brody guy?*
“Snooping much.” I say out loud by accident. Flora and Brody look at me while Jace chuckles.
“You two have a mental connection?” Brody asks
“Yeah. Duh why would she say that out loud? Idiot.” Flora says
“Wow my mind is blown. That’s crazy” he practically yells. The bell rings telling us we have five minutes till class starts.
“Better get to class. See you guys later.” I say as I walk to my locker. They all go to their lockers.
Jace walks into my class as the bell rings. He walks over to me and sits next to me. When you find your soulmate you sit next to them in the classes you have with them so they don’t get jealous when they see you sitting next to someone else.
“Why didn’t you ask me where to sit?” The big booming voice of the teacher calls out without looking up.
“She’s my soulmate.” A shocked mumbling comes from the class.
“All right. All right.” The waring in the teachers voice tells everyone to shut up. The teacher finally looks up he says
“I’m sorry for that. I wasn’t paying attention.” Then he gets on with the class.
*That was usual *I say
*Yeah. Probably because I didn’t have a soulmate yesterday and he probably didn’t look up.* I nod in agreement.
The bell rings and the class of finally over. I walk out of the class room and start to head over to my locker. *You have chemistry next right?* I ask Jace.
*Yeah I’ll see you a few*
The back of my shirt gets pulled and I am shoved into a closet with Flynn the f**k boy of the school. Ugh I can’t believe I dated him. He thought he was my soulmate because we both hadn’t found ours.
I hear the bell ring and he grabs me and starts kissing me. I push him off and yell
“What the he..” I’m cut off as he starts kissing me again. Something cold and sharp touches my neck.
*River why aren’t you in class?*
*Jace! *I scream
