Chapter 5 Kinda Meeting His Family

Jace falls to the floor as River screams his name.

“Jace are you okay.” Brody asks

*What’s wrong. Where are you?*

“River is in trouble!” He yells and runs out the room.

*I’m in the supply closet by my locker. Flynn has something sharp and cold. *

Jace runs out the room with Brody on his heels. Jace heard the teacher yell something but he can’t make it out. When he gets to the supply closet he rips the door open.

After I tell Jace where I am Flynn pushes me up against the wall and try’s to take my shirt off. He pulls so hard my shirt starts to rip. What I think was a knife is gone. He rips it all the way off and starts to kiss my neck. I try to push him off and he just pushes his body against mine harder. Then the door is ripped open and Flynn is pulled off by Jace and handed to Brody as he tackles him. Jace runs in and wraps his arms around me. I see pretty much everyone outside and I start crying in Jace’s chest. After a few minutes he pulls back and take his shirt off and gives it to me. *Here. Wear this*He says

*Thank you.*

*It’s my pleasure.* He starts to wipe my tears away then he suddenly whips around before he is punched in the face. Brody pulls me out of the way. As Jace looks to see who it can from. Then he pulls his fist back and then it connects with Flynn’s face. At teacher walks in and yells

“Stop everyone go back to class except you four.” Mrs. Morgan says after everyone clears

“What happened and why aren’t you wearing a shirt?”

I start speaking through the tears “Flynn pulled me into the closet and kissed me then I pushed him off. And he wouldn’t stop so I called to Jace. He still wouldn’t stop when I yelled at him to so he ripped my shirt off. Jace gave me his.” I look down with embarrassment

“How did you call Jace if he was in my class room, and you where in the supply closet?” She asked

“We have a mental connection.”

Mrs. Morgan and Flynn gasp

“You have a what?!?!”

“Me and River have mental connection.” Jace said this time

“Okay. Flynn go to the office right now and wait for me. Jace do you have an extra shirt in your locker.”

“No.”

“I have an extra one of mine so he can have his back.” I say

“Okay. Go get changed.” She says and starts to walk off with Flynn.

*Are you okay?* Jace asks. My head falls down as silent tears begin to fall. Jace grabs me and pulls me into a hug, I sob into his chest as he hugs me tightly. “Do you still love me?” I ask

“Of course. Why wouldn’t I?”

“He kissed me. You have to be upset with me for not trying harder to get him off.”

“No. It’s not your fault. You did all you could.” We walk to my locker and get my shirt so we can change. I walk to the girls restroom and go in. I come out and Jace takes his shirt and puts it back on.

We walk back to class and everyone runs up to us and asks so many questions I can’t hear any of them. We walk through them to go to are seats and Brody comes over and says

“Are you okay Riv?” Brody and Flora call me Riv we have all been friends since grade school.

“No. I’m a little shaken. Okay I’m really shaken.”

“It gonna be okay Riv. Man that was a wicked punch your mate threw.” I laughed

“Yeah. It was pretty good.”

“What can I say. I’m wicked strong.” Jace laughs. He pulls me in for quick kiss.

Every class I walked into was filled with questions for me and Jace. We had all of our classes together. I don’t know how that happened but at least he was there to get me through the day so I was glad for it.

I get a call during lunch from my mom

“Hello.”

“Hey sweetie, so we came to and agreement with Jace’s host family. On Monday through Thursday you two will be staying at our house. And Friday through Sunday will be at his host family’s house. Can you tell him that please.”

“Yeah sure. Love you bye.”

“Love you too.” I hang up and put my phone one the table and look over to Jace.

“Jace.”

“Babe.” I giggle when he says that.

“So Monday through Thursday you will be staying at my house and Friday through Sunday I will be at your host family’s house. You okay with that.”

“Yeah sounds good.”

By the end of the day I was annoyed with everyone but Jace he had taken the role as my body guard. We walk to Jace’s car, we get in I lay my head back and sigh.

“Are you okay.” Jace asks

“Do I f*****g look okay?” I yell. He just looks at me. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap.”

“River it’s okay. I can feel your anger and frustration.”

“You can what?!?!”

“We learned about this in school. I can feel your emotions. And you can feel mine.”

“Oh yeah. I forgot. Im sorry for yelling at you.”

“It’s fine lubirea mea.”

“What does that mean?”

“Lubirea mea means my love.” After awhile we where going away from my house.

“Where are we going?”

“We are going to my host family’s house. So I can get clothes till Thursday. And you can meet them.” Jace says.

I get really nervous and look down at what I’m wearing. I’m wearing an old pair of pants and an old tank top. Why couldn’t I have picked a cuter outfit. I started to breathe faster and faster. I couldn’t breathe. I don’t know why I was freaking out. Probably because I was going to meet a family I don’t know and they must know a lot about me.

*Are you okay?*

* I can’t breathe.*

*We will be at my house in a second.’* A few seconds which feel like hours he pulls in the drive way and gets out. Once he is out of the car he runs over to my side and pulls me out to hug me. I’m shaking so much I start to fall. Jace picks me up and carries me into the house his host mom runs up and says something but I can’t hear her. He takes me up to his room and sits me on the bed.

“You need to breath my luna.”

“I...I...I...can’t.” After a few seconds which feel like minutes he grabs me and starts kissing me. A few seconds later he pulls back.

“How...how did you do that.”

“I read if you hold your breath when you are having a panic attack it stops it.” I grab him and pull him to me. He is inches from my lips

“Thank you.” I say before he goes the final bit, his tongue touches mine. Heat runs from my toes to my head. I pull back and kiss his neck then I nip him and he moans. I go back to kiss his lips, I could feel his need for my lips, it was what I needed too.

After a few minutes he pulls back and says

“Come on we have to go see them or they will come up here.” I get nervous again, it starts getting hard to breathe again. He looks at me and says “Hey. Hey it’s gonna be okay relax. Deep breath for me.” I take a deep breath and start to relax. Jace leans over me and give me a kiss on the head then the eye lids then my cheeks and then my chin, finally he kisses my lips. *Come on. Let’s go down stairs.*

*Okay.*

We walk down stairs and his host family is waiting for us.

“Are you okay?” His host mom asks

“Yeah. She’s fine now.” Jace says

“Hey, I can speak you know.”

“No I didn’t know. You where a mute two minutes ago.”

“Jerk. I am not a mute.”

*I know lubirea mea.* I giggle when he says that.

“You guys are talking through your mental connection right?”

“Yeah.” I say embarrassed. It felt like I was being caught doing something really intimate. “Sorry that was rude of us.”

“No it’s alright. When Jace came home yesterday with the thick auburn chunk I was amazed. You guys better get to Rivers house. It’s getting late. Nice meeting you.”

“Nice meeting you too.”

*Let me go grab my bag*

*Okay. Can I come with you?*

*Always* The way he said always did something to me. It was crazy.

“We are going to get my bag. We will be down in a second.” After we get his bag we head to my house.

We get to my house,when we walk in my mom is sitting at the table and asks

“How was your day?”

*Do you want me to answer River?*

*No. I can answer for myself.*

“Umm where do I start, me and Jace have all of are classes together. Umm. I think that’s it.”

“River what about the other thing.”

“What thing.” Mom says

“Oh yeah. Flynn pulled me into the supply closet and started kissing me and ripped off my shirt. Don’t know how I forgot that.”

“He did what?!?!” Mom yells. I could feel Jace’s anger growing and growing. His hands are clenched so hard his knuckles are white.

*No I don’t not at all.* he growls

“Mom. I’ll talk to you later about this. Me and Jace are going upstairs.”

“Okay. Did you have dinner?”

“Yeah.”

We walk upstairs and Jace is furious by the time we get up to my room. I stop him and say

”Why are you so mad?”

“I don’t like the idea of you and someone else kissing.”

“Im yours no one else’s. Take a deep breath. And try to relax.” He took in a breath and another one. After a few more he started to calm down.

“I’m sorry.” He whispers. I walk over to him,

“Why are you sorry?”

“I made you cut off your conversation with your mom.”

“It fine.” He nods his head. After a few minutes he says

“Are you okay?”

“I’m pissed and upset that he would go so low. He has never done anything like that.”

“People change River.”

“Yeah no I totally didn’t know that. Not at all.” I say thick with sarcasm. He just looks at me and I immediately feel bad “I’m sorry.”

“It’s fine.”

*I’m getting tried. I’m gonna lie down* when he makes no move to lay with me I ask *Are you gonna stand there all night or lay with your mate? *

*Oh I’m gonna lie with you and possibly do more if you want. * He winks and my stomach does a little flip. He lays down with me and I drift off to sleep as he rubs my back.

I wake up screaming as I sit up, it felt like my stomach was being burned from the inside out. Jace came running into my room.

“Are you okay?”

“It feels like my stomach is being burned from the inside out.”

“I’m so sorry. I left for a second.”

“It’s fine.” He walks over and starts to rub my back.

“Try to take deep breaths.” I do as he says and the burning starts to fade. “Do you remember anything from the dream?”

“All I remember is being really scared and upset. I can’t remember anything else.” We both don’t say anything for sometime. “Please don’t leave again.”

“I’m so sorry River. My parents called me and I didn’t want you to wake up.” He paused for a second before he started laughing

“Why are you laughing?”

“I dropped my phone when I heard you scream, I don’t think I ended the call.” We both started laughing and we couldn’t stop. Then we heard Jace’s ring tone going off. He got up and grabbed my hand so I would come with him.

When he got to his phone he picked it up and put it on speaker and said

“Hello.”

**“Are you okay? Is your mate okay? What happened?” **A female voice asked

“I’m fine and so is River she had a nightmare when I left.”

“**Jace you know your not supposed to leave her when she is sleeping.” **

“Mom. I know I left because you guys called and I didn’t want to wake her up.”

**“Oh. I’m sorry about that.”**

“It’s okay mom.”

**“Can you put me on speaker so I can talk to your mate?”**

“You are on speaker.”

**“Oh. Well then hello River I’m Willow.”**

“Hello. I love your name.” River said sleepily. *What’s your dads name*

“Mom, River wants to know dads name.”

**“His name is Archer.”**

*Wow weird names going on here why did they name you Jace instead of something weird.*

*They liked the name Jace and they couldn’t find a better name that fits our Tattoo.*

“Mom it’s getting late here. We are gonna go to bed. Goodnight.”

**“Noapte buna, fiul meu si partenerul lui.”**

*What did that mean*

*It meant goodnight my son and his mate*

*Oh. We should get to bed it’s getting late and I have an adventure for us tomorrow*
