Chapter 2 Mine

At top of his head light auburn hair starts to spread to the end of his short hair in a thick chunk. It is a bigger chunk than anyone else’s. Everyone gasps and looks at my hair as my light auburn hair gets a big blonde chunk.
We both start walking to each other. All I can see is him. He is mine, no one else’s, mine. When we finally meet each other, he leans in and whispers
“My name is Jace. I have waited so long for you, lubirea mea.” I don’t know what lubirea mea means but it doesn’t matter right now.
“My name is River. Are you really from Romania?” I ask
“Yes. Let’s get out of here lubirea mea.” He whispers as his hot breath hits my neck. If you are at school when you find your soulmate you are allowed to leave to get to know them better. But you have to go to the office first, of course.
“Yes.” I whisper back. His hand finds mine and he says
“Where is the office.”
“Follow me.” I giggle
When we get to the office we walk in and the lady at the desk says
“You got the Romanian. Congratulations. Your free to go.” She wiggles her eyebrows at us.
We walk out the school doors hand in hand. He walks over to a car.
“Get in.” He says
“Okay.” I say back
“Where do you want to go.” He asks
“Umm. Let’s go to the park on 10th street.” I say. He starts the car and the radio turns on. The song We don’t have to dance by Andy Black comes on. We both start singing it, we both laugh
“You like this song?” I ask
“Uh duh. It’s amazing.” He laughs. When he smiles he has amazing dimples. On the way to the park his hand finds mine. We sit there in a comfortable silence.
When we get to the park we get out. I take his hand and walk over to the climbing tree, I climb up. Once we are both in the tree he asks
“Whats your favorite color?”
“Blue. How about you?” I ask
“Purple. What’s your favorite artist?”
“Andy Black of course. How about you?”
“Same here. What’s your favorite song from The Shadow Side album?”
“We don’t have to dance.”
“To popular.”
“Homecoming king.”
“Still to popular.”
“Stay alive... Beautiful pain... Paint it black... Drown me out. I can go on.”
“No it’s okay.” He laughs
“What’s your favorite song.”
“The void.” I look at him and he starts singing
“Life is the pain of the pictures in my mind. Fear is the child I left behind. I'm never ashamed of the scars you see across my face. I'm only afraid that this will change”
“Okay. Okay I get it. You should be in choir.” He had the most beautiful voice ever.
“Choir isn’t my thing.” We talk for the rest of the day. It’s dark by the time I get home. He walks me up to the door and my mom is standing at it.
“Where..” she cuts off and says “Your soulmate?”
“Mom this is Jace.” I say
“Nice to meet you miss your daughter is such a delight.” Jace says
“Thank you. I’m glad she found you. I’ll leave you two alone then.” Mom says. She walks back inside.
“I had a lot of fun today.” I say
“Me too.” He pauses “Can I kiss you?” I laugh nervously.
“That’s abrupt.” I say
“I know. It’s just this thing that is there and it’s all I can think about. Maybe if we get it out of the way it will be better. So can I?” He says nervously
“Yes.” I whisper loud enough for him to hear.
He moves closer and grabs my cheeks and kisses me. His lips are so soft. At first it’s soft and sweet then his tongue runs against my lips and I open. His hands slide down to my waist. I wrap my arms around his neck and run my hands through his hair. He squeezes my hips and I moan. He pulls back and gives me a hug. He nips my neck then whispers
“Goodnight lubirea mea.”
“Goodnight.” I whisper into his ear. Then I hear a thought that isn’t mine *I love her so much.*I look at him with wide eyes and he says
“What?”
“Did you just think I love her so much?”
“How did you know that?” He asks
“I heard you in my head. That is so unheard of.”
“Try speaking to me in my head.”
*I love you too*he looks at me with wide eyes
“Did you just say I love you too?” I smile and say
“Yes.” *Goodnight*
*Goodnight*then he hugs me one more time and leaves
(Lubirea mea means My love)
