Chapter 16 Where?

I woke up wrapped in Jace’s strong arms, I tried to move but Jace’s arms tightened around me. I huffed.
*Just a little longer.* He said groggily.
*Fine.* I relaxed back into his arms, my eyes got heavy and before I knew it I was sleeping.
A knock at the door pulled me from my sleep.
“What?” A groggily Jace said
“Alpha, wants to see you and River.”
“We will be down in a few.” I turn over and give Jace a peck on his lips.
*Come on we better get down there.*
*Okay.* We get up and I throw a pair of yoga pants on under Jace’s huge shirt. Jace puts one of his shirts on. I pull my hair up into a messy bun, Jace grabs my hand and pulls me down the stairs to my father's office. I knock and my father says
“Come in.” We opened the door “Sit down.” We sat down and he said sadly
“We have reason to believe whoever wants to take River is closing in.”
“WHAT!?!?” Jace screams and grabs me protectively. “Who are they?”
“We don’t know”
“What do you mean you don’t know?”
“We don’t recognize the scent.”
“THEN FIND WHO THE HELL IT IS.” Jace screams with power thick in the air.
“We are going to see if we can recognize the scent.” I said
“I want you two safe so I will have my beta and a group come with you. Be ready in five.”
“Yes Alpha.” We left with no other words said.

We walk to what I think is the edge of the territory. I start to smell a familiar smell but I don’t know whose until Jace growls
“Flynn.”
“He would only be stupid enough to do this. Why didn’t I think of it?”
“He wanted us to know its was him.” Jace growled.
We got back to my father's office and fur kept rippling along Jace’s arms with each step he took, he held onto me protectively. We walked into my father's office without knocking.
“Do you know who it is?” My father paused than said “Judging by the way you look you know who it is. So who is it?”
“Flynn, that f*****g son of a b***h that tried to r**e my mate.” Jace growled.
“HE DID WHAT?!?!” My father yelled.
“He tried to f*****g r**e me dad but Jace stopped him.” I whispered.
“Oh baby, I’m so sorry.” My father lowered his voice and walked over to hug me but I pushed him away.
“I don’t wanna talk about it.”
“Okay.” My phone rings, I look at the screen and see its Flora.
“I’m gonna answer this.”
“Okay.” I walk out of the room and close the door.
“Hey, what’s up?”
**“I can’t find Brody.”**
“What do you mean?”
**“We were supposed to go on a lunch date and you know how he is always on time.”**
“Yeah?”
**“I called him but he didn’t answer, I texted him and he didn’t answer either. I texted his mom and she said he left to come get me. So I just thought he was a little late but its 2:00 and he was supposed to pick me up at 12:30.”**
“Shit.”
**“I was wondering if you and Jace could come follow his scent or something?”**
“Yeah, I'll tell Jace. I’ll text you what he says.”
**“Okay, bye.”**
“Bye.” I walked back in and was about to tell Jace when my phone rang again, this time it said Unknown, I answered it.
“Hello?”
**“I’m guessing you are wondering where Brody is?”**
“Excuse me who is this.”
**“You should know who this is babydoll.”** I knew exactly who it was when he called me babydoll
“Flynn.” Fur ripped along my arms and I felt my eyes change. “Where the hell is Brody.”
**“I’ll tell you if you come by yourself.”**
“Fine.” I growled, and with that he hung up. I took a deep breath knowing all too well what was coming next
“YOU WILL NOT GO BY YOURSELF.” Jace and my father yelled at the same time having power laced with their words. Their power didn’t even affect me.
“I will be going even if you both don't approve.” I pointed to both of them and yelled “YOUR f*****g POWER WON’T WORK ON ME I'M GOING.” They both looked at me and growled both shoving power at me, I let it slide off my skin. “I HAVE A f*****g PLAN CHILL.” They didn’t stop pushing power at me. “STOP.” I screamed with power lacing my words. Their power immediately stopped, they both looked at me stunned.
*You are not going.*
“The hell I am not, cool your balls. I have a plan.” My father looked at me with laughter in his eyes as Jace glared daggers at me. I looked Jace straight in the eyes and said “Stop your glaring, your coming too.”
“What?” He said taken aback. I got a text saying to meet him at the clearing in Shadowville at 4:00.
“Okay, he wants to meet in the clearing on Shadowville at 4:00, so we will bring the best fighters if it come to a fight or he isn’t alone you guys will reveal yourselves. Okay?”
“Good plan, we leave in 10.”
We get near the clearing and Jace gives me a hug and whispers
“I’ll be watching from a distance. I love you.”
“I love you too, I’ve gotta go.”
“See you in a few.”
“See you in a few.”
I walk into the clearing to see a bruised and beaten Brody. Flynn gives me a look before he unties Brody’s arms and lets him walk over to me. I push him behind me when suddenly Flynn says.
“You didn’t come alone.”
“Yes I did.”
“Stop lying.”
“I’m not lying.”
“Yes you are.”
“How do you know if I’m lying or not.”
“Because I’m just like you.” Before I could say anything his eyes changed “I said you will be mine and you will be or you will be no one else’s.” He growled and wolves started emerging from the trees, but they had a lust for what looked like blood
*They are rogues.*
*Shit.*
*We are coming out now.*
*Okay. I love you.*
*I love you too.* Then my father’s pack emerged from the woods. Jace standing on my right side and my father standing on my left.
“See your right Flynn I didn’t come alone, I brought my pack.”
*You need to run, get Brody to Flora she has a car ready with some pack members go.*
*No I don’t wanna leave you.*
*Go, I’ll be fine. Run.* With that I ran and grabbed Brody.
“We have to go.” I didn’t wait for him to answer I helped him up and we took off. Flynn yelled something but I didn’t hear it.
Rouges where gaining on us, I tired to get Brody to run faster but he couldn’t. The car was finally in site and the wolves from my fathers pack saw us and ran over to help while the others started fighting off rouges. One grabbed me from behind and I turned shifting my hand so my claws where out. When I turned around it was Flynn.
*JACE!!* I screamed.
“What the h…” before I could say anything I was knocked into a black abyss
