Arya’s pov

“Well, the time is here to be married off to an unknown man” Arya thought

“I need to talk to my mother and see if she can change her mind,as well as her husband’s” Arya think positively

Author’s pov

In the hall way, Arya was on her way to her mother’s chambers and trying her best to construct the best speech in order to convince her mother. But suddenly she stumbled upon a wall. A very hard wall

Arya pov

“Ouch, why do I have the habit of getting distracted while walking”I mumbled

“Are you okay?” Said the wall I bumped into with a thick voice which tickles your heart anytime you hear it.

That’s when I realised that I didn’t bumped into a wall but into a man’s chest which was very sturdy and I could tell it was very muscular but in a nice way from the way his clothes hugs his body in the right proportions.

“Are you done looking” asked the man

“ yeah, sure, I mean …….. uhnm sorry what did you say just now” I said swallowing the saliva in my mouth because I suddenly feel so hot.

“ I said are you done looking” said the man again which suddenly made my face so red. I don’t know if it’s out of embarrassment or out of shyness. I think at this point I might not need to add anymore blush to my face

“ hmm, I am sorry, please forgive me. It was my fault, I am really sorry mister”. I said breaking out of my stupor

‘God I need to leave here immediately or it might be too late to talk to mother……..’

“ it is okay” said the man.

“Why are you looking down?” Asked the man

‘ not only does he have a great body but he also turns out to be an arrogant man….. eeeeshhhhhh’

“Please look me in the eyes when I’m talking to you” said the man rudely

I reluctantly looked up. Let me get this over with. I think I regretted my actions

I looked up to him and was mesmerised by his eyes colour which was blue like the oceans. But I sensed something dark lurking in that eyes of his. Although his face was covered with a silver mask, it didn’t make make him look any less gorgeous but instead adds a mysterious aura around him

Arya: hey author is there a trend whereby boys are wearing masks to look mysterious? Uhhhh?

Author: No, Aria you are being stupid again!!!

Arya: you have guts, have you forgotten who I am? ( smirking)

Author: uhmmmm, my keyboard is typing nonsense………

“Hey” the man interrupting my thoughts

“Yeah, uhmm, sorry about that. I will compensate you nicely another day but please I need to go now…. Bye!!” I said

“Hey, you!!!……..” said the man. I am sure he must be angry,but who cares

Mysterious man’s pov

“Quite interesting” I mumbled then I smirked. It seems having a real contact with a girl for the first time can actually be this exciting. Well mostly all the girls sent to me were immediately thrown out by my guards or abandoned in the restaurant by me. I never touched anyone of them, because of my severe case of OCD. But been touched by this girl didn’t even irritate me at the slightest.

Yeah, there’s an exception, his gaze darkened. That damn woman who dared to use me during my visit in the underworld. I still can’t find her traces, she has been giving me a lot of headaches recently. And I will make sure she pays back her debt slowly. A hint of sinister could be seen in his gaze.

“Your highness,it is time to go. The ball is about to start “ said one of my guards who came out from the shadows

“Hmmm” I answered not having the same expression I had when talking to that little Kitten.

Author’s pov

Arya will be surprised that the person she talked to just now’has a cold expression, like he was about to kill someone.

Hurried footsteps could be heard along the hallway

“Oh my God,where could mother be?” Said Arya, panting due to searching for a mother throughout the whole palace and still couldn’t find her

She saw one of her mother’s maid and asked “Do you know the whereabouts of the Queen “

“I think so your highness” said the maid

“Tell me now” Arya asked hurriedly

“I think she is at the ball now, your highness” said the maid fidgeting

“Okay, you are now dismissed “ said Arya in an authoritative tone

“Yes, your highness” said the maid as she walked hurriedly out of her sight,fear of getting punished by the princess.

“Oh my God I hope mother hasn’t reached there yet” Arya mumbled. Then she heard the sounds of the trumpet which indicates that the ball has started. Before the ball starts,all the royal family must be present. Which means her mother was there already.

“It is over, my life is ruined” said Arya. A mixture of both sadness and grief could be seen in her eyes

On the other side of the hall. Bella and Anne were looking for Arya.

“Do you have any idea where the princess is?” Asked Bella worriedly as she saw Anne coming out from the other room

“No, she told me that she wanted to convince the queen about her marriage. Since then, I haven’t seen her” said Anne anxiously.
