How I became the worlds greatest magician

When I  woke up the first thing I heard was my roommates groaning from a long sleep although we're in different courses we're still good friends, I got up and went to take a shower and brush my teeth before  having breakfast, I left for my classes not before running into Drake, Drake is a person I knew since I started university he loves to bully me always teasing me about my hair and other things, I have black hair and eyes I  don't really know the colour of and no one else does either anyway I tried to walk past him but there's no escaping his eyes. 'Hey Magnus what's up wanna hang upside down and get thrown in a locker.' 'no thanks' I replied then I began to walk past him, 'It wasn't an option so come with me NOW.' I guess there wasn't a way out of this one 'DRAKE! GET YOURSELF TO THE GYM NOW.' I know that voice it was Jakes voice he was the leader of the basketball team and Drake was the striker which means all the girls liked him which also meant I'm the natural enemy of all girls, so as I walk down the hallway I felt as if I was being watched like someone was following me I arrived at the entrance of my class which was advanced mathematics when I stepped in I saw her, Sophie I've had a crush her since I saw her but I guess she would never go for a loser like me so I guess you can call it an unrequited love, I sat in the front and started listening to the professor then I felt that feeling again that someone was watching me I ignored it like I always do after a while(and stealing a couple glances at Sophie) the lesson ended and I walked out I heard a yell ' Wait up Magnus I wanna talk' it was Sophie who called but what could she want from me ' yeah what's up?' 'I was wondering if you wanted to walk to the next lesson with me.' this was a first, normally Sophie never talks to me which sounds quite depressing if you think about it which is why I found it strange  that she decided to talk to me ' no thanks I'm good ' saying this made me feel terrible I walked away with my heart filled with regret then I heard a yell...again it was Drake it looked like he came from gym training and he was mad as in raging mad he looked at me with bloodshot eyes 'HOW DARE YOU!' 'wait Drake is not what it looks like.' Sophie said I was so confused, what was going on? 'YOU DARE TALK TO SOPHIE WITHOUT KNOWING IM HER BOYFRIEND!' Wait what? Boyfriend no one ever told me about this so that's why he was so angry. 'I was just talking to him so there's nothing wrong right.' Drake calmed down he no longer looked like a mad animal ready to pounce on his prey, 'right just talking, now let's go into your room' I felt my body shake from this, how have they gotten in this relationship, I felt my blood boil from this the girl I had liked for so long and she's dating him of all people him SERIOUSLY I was pissed off just because Drake was the striker of the basketball team he should be so famous it wasn't fair...no it is fair he has talent and he uses it while I have none, I kept my head down and walked away to my next class with my heart filled with sadness. As I entered the classroom it was science which I couldn't care less for, I sat at the back which is where I normally sit when I'm upset after 2 hours the professor stopped talking,  in fact everyone stopped moving I was confused why did everyone stop moving I got up and walked out the classroom my mind filled with curiosity I looked around and saw a girl with flowing white hair and eyes as blue as the sea I wondered what was going on but then she waked past me without even looking at me 'Hey' I said without thinking she looked at me with her eyes widened with shock 'y-you can see me?' 'Of course I can see you, your not exactly invisible you know' she still stared at me then she said 'well that's interesting' then she moved closer to me 'hey what are you doing?' and then she knocked my unconscious . When I came to I saw the white haired girl looking at me with curious eyes she the started to ask me questions 'who are you? who are your parents?' I answered truthfully ' my name is Magnus and I'm 18 years old, my parents are both dead my mother died whilst giving birth to me and my father died due to an incurable disease so I was raised in an orphanage my whole life.' The white haired girl turned and mumbled to herself I heard a couple words like 'If he's an ordinary human why does he give off so much mana?' Mana? I have no idea what that is but I'm pretty sure I've heard it in anime and manga but what did any of that have to do with me? 'Hey since I answered your questions how about you answer mine?' The white haired girl thought to herself  and after a while said 'sure why not.' 'Who are you?' I asked out of all the questions in my mind this was the that was burning at the top of my head. 'My name is Zia' ,Zia said 'why did you come here?' Zia looked at me and said 'Because i was sent here to bring a candidate' 'for what?' I asked with curiosity burning in my mind ' to bring a candidate to come to the  Magical Academy For Gifted Students.' magical academy for gifted students? I've never heard of such a place but it sounded interesting 'how would you like to join?' asked the white haired girl  I thought to myself 'me? join a magic school.' I burst out laughing 'you must be out of your mind lady I can't even use magic let alone go to a school dedicated to it, no way.'  she looked at me with a straight face she wasn't kidding 'oh you were serious' I asked 'well' the white haired girl asked 'the offer still stands.' I fell into deep thought after all I've been through I could finally get away from this hell I could start anew and there was no way I was gonna miss this chance 'yes.' I finally replied Zia smiled and looked at me ' good choice because if you said no i would have to kill you' I broke down in a cold sweat 'well lets get started ' Zia clicked her fingers and the space around us warped and it took us to a cliff only then did I realize my hands were tied up, Zia stood behind me and pushed me off 'AHHHHHHHH' i yelled as I fell to my doom but then just as I was about to hit the floor it changed and I was now standing in front of a giant building that had spires and huge halls almost double the size of my university lecture hall then I realized 'what about everyone who knew back at the university what would happen to them wouldn't they wonder where I am? 'oh don't worry about them they returned back to normal and as for you I erased all the memories of you from thier minds.' I won't lie that  kinda hurt having everyone forget about me but it didn't matter anymore I'm leaving that old life behind and getting ready for a new one 'so when do I start ' I asked Zia smiled at me she had a smile so sweet one could make honey out of it 'right when you step through this door I stepped towards the door and opened it and this is where my journey to become a magician begun.
