I like you

{Sometimes when things get out of hand the only thing to do is taking a break}

I woke up so early in the morning than usual. My head was spinning really hard loosing focus. I sat on my bed and searched for pain relievers and luckily enough i found one and the pain subsided after a short while. I took my phone but wondered what i was doing with it so i kept it away.

I stared at the roof looking for nothing. So many thoughts ran in my head but i couldn't pick on a specific topic to think about. I later decided to take a shower and started to pack my things together. After everything was well packed i went to join the rest in taking breakfast.

I and my mom were in a middle of a conversation when i heard my phone calling. Jazmine's number was displayed on my screen.

"Hey good morning gal," she said with a lot of enthusiasm I could detect it from how she said it.

"Morning to, how are you."

"Am good. Hey am i not the one who is supposed to ask you that," i just chuckled due to her response.

"Am doing great gal just trying to give it a blind eye, you know."

"Yeah i know you're a strong gal , right?"

"Yeah right nothing can shake me down." I said trying to calm down my nerves.

"You free today."

"Yeah what's up."

"Can we meet up."

"Yeah, where."

" Home. You know the address i'll be waiting for you."

" Okay i'll be there in 30." I said as i hung up.

I went back to my room and put on some decent clothes. I tried to think about Harry but still i was scared or maybe i can say i was afraid of what he is capable of doing.

"Mom i'll be out," i called for my mom to inform her that i'm about to leave.

"Where to," she asked.

"To Jazmine's home i'll be back before four."

" Okay be safe."

" Sure. Bye."

I took my bike and left. On my way i could only remember our last conversation with Harry and his last words "You'll pay for this". Those words made feel so afraid than i have ever been before. Nobody have ever scared me but saying that he scared me it's just an understatement.

I arrived at her home address and i was shocked to find her with for me outside. She was as beautiful as ever accompanied by her twin sister Maya they greeted me happily but something seemed to be off with Maya. She was so grumpy.

I thought of asking what's wrong with her but her sister interrupted me.

"Hey what's up man."

"What?"

"He told me about it."

"About what i don't understand."

"Stop acting so innocent."

"What you're confusing me Jazz."

"You and Harry."

" Ooh about him it's nothing."

" You sure that guy really loved you Eddie."

" But i didn't and i had told him before."

" So what does that mean."

" What does it have to mean, it's his fault anyway."

" Maybe you're-"

" What?" i cut her short not wanting her to repeat what she had said a day ago.

Her sister frowned and left us alone. I was confused I ha never seen her reacting like that. It was just strange to me.

" Hey what's up with the twin," i decided to ask her sister.

" What she is okay."

" She is acting strange and she is so grumpy today. Maybe she doesn't want me here. Maybe i should be going."

" Hey stop it she is good. Don't mind her she is off since yesterday i don't know what Harry said to her."

" Harry again. This guy is driving me nuts."

" Let by gones be by gones. Let's go in i know mom is waiting she really misses you."

" Mom she is already here." She called out to alert her mom that i just arrived.

Her mom came down to meet us half-way to the table room. She was so happy and i couldn't miss a smile that formed on her face as soon as our eyes met.

" Long time no see, how are you doing," she said as she invited me in for a hug.

" I'm doing great Aunt Aliyah," she insisted on me calling her aunt and not Mrs. she believes that she is still young and addressing her as Mrs. Luthra makes her to be seen as old.

"Where have you been, you just left and never came back again."

"I was just busy dealing with some paperwork but i think i'm done."

"That's great news to here from you."

"Yeah i just came to say hi and maybe goodbye too to you and the rest of the family."

"Did they inform you, we'll be leaving tomorrow."

"I knew you are about to leave but i didn't know the day."

"We will be leaving tomorrow and am sorry for taking your friends away."

"It's okay aunt i'll also be leaving but am going to miss you guys so much."

"We shall reach you on the phone," Jazz countered back and i just nodded in agreement since i wasn't sure about it. I will be busy at the training plus doing online studies it will be hard to keep the communication flowing.

"Yeah sure make sure to make a call on weekends," her mom said.

After taking a cup of coffee i and Jazz headed direct into her room. We chatted for some time talking about everything and sometimes making jokes here and there. I helped her put her things in order after all she will be leaving tomorrow. We spent more than three hours in her room until her mom asked us to join them too and take our lunch together of which we compiled.

After taking our lunch together and having some fun. Maya kept on stealing looks on me without saying anything then she excused herself and left us. I had no doubts by now there's something off with her. I excused myself and followed her into her room. I knocked once at her door and she welcomed me in. To my surprise she had arranged all her items together in large boxes.

"Hi what's up," i asked.

"Nothing," she said.

"How sure are you about that," i pressed hard for her to just open up but she just walked behind me and locked her door.

"Have a seat no standing like a lost puppy in my room."

Geez this girl is so funny now i'm a lost puppy in this beautiful room of her's. I sat on her bed waiting for her to say anything but she just kept quiet.

"What a beautiful room you'll leave behind here," i said to ease the silence in the room.

" It's beautiful but i have to leave it behind," she said staring at me directly into my eyes. I felt so nervous, i'm not used to someone staring at me like that. It was so uneasy for me but she seemed to enjoy it.

"Maybe it's more beautiful where you are going."

" Maybe," she air quoted the word.

" Not maybe i've heard about that great India and i wish i had a chance to go there."

" Maybe you can come with us," she gladly invited me to join but i can't.

" That's kind of you but i'll also be leaving tomorrow."

" What, i mean at what time," she was shocked but still she regained herself together.

" Before noon," i said.

" So you won't be with us at the airport."

" I wish i could but i can't make it." i sincerely answered.

" Can you keep a secret," she asked.

"It depends," i countered back.

"It's either yes or no," she convinced me.

"Okay bring it up," i said but i was still nervous.

"I like you, you know that."

" I know."

" I mean it's like i love you."

" Since when," i decided to play along with her schemes.

"Second year in high school. I wanted to to get closer to you just like my sister but Harry came in the picture. He claimed how much he liked you and he wants you to be his girlfriend before we complete our high school but you being not so open gave everyone a hard time to tame you. So i have just been watching you from a far and prayed that you won't fall for him."

" What?" i was so shocked to this revelation i didn't know a girl would claim to be in love with me for that long.

" And Harry came and narrated everything to me about how he found you yesterday at Roni's house just after she comes out as gay and you claiming that you were never in love with him and you slapped him."

" So he told you all that," i pressed further.

" Yeah and he assumed you to be gay also and that made me jealous because i thought you were now in love with Roni."

" You can't be serious Maya," i was so confused i didn't know what to say. What would her sister say she has been telling me that i might come out as gay and now being with her sister. This is unbelievable. What would her mom think of me she loves me as one of the big family and now. I am just f****d up.

Now i clearly understand why she's so grumpy.But why me?

"I am serious Eddie you are so beautiful, so sweet, gorgeous and so sexy everyone else would fall for you." I was left speechless i never thought someone would see me like that. I just stared at her. Words lost i couldn't form a word to say. She came close to me only an inch left but i didn't take my eyes from him. My heart was pounding so fast and loud i could heare it.

"Why are you so mute Eddie just say something."

" I don't know what to say Maya am just...am confused." Without a warning she leaned closer and closed the gap between us and kissed me but i didn't return it back.

"It's you first time to kiss someone," she asked when i didn't kiss her back. I just nodded. "Sorry i didn't know."

"It's okay no need to say sorry but i am not gay."

" Then who are you, you don't like boys, and you also don't like girls."

" I don't know maybe asexual."

"You mean you can't love anyone, no."

" I don't know Maya." I said and for the first time i looked her in the eyes. She smiles at me and gave me a knowingly look.

"Do want to know if you like girls."

"What do you mean, i don't understand."

"Okay just promise me you are not going to ran away."

" Where to you already locked the door," i said pointing to the direction of the door.

" Okay then close your eyes."

"What are you planning to do Maya."

" Don't you trust me," i nodded my head silently. " Then close your eyes don't be scared."

So i decided to close my eyes but my head was still racing. I didn't know what she was about to do. I was lost in my thoughts when i felt her soft lips crashed on mine. This time i gave her access to my mouth. I gave her a chance to take the lead. She kissed me so passionately and gentle. I almost forgot to breathe. I felt something i never felt before. My whole body rose in arousal. I wanted more so i deepened the kiss. She smiled in the middle of kiss. It was our last day together so i decided to give it my all. I liked her sister so much but she had a boyfriend Lucas. She loved him more than she loved herself and so i couldn't go between them. I always wanted to be close to her but i never thought being in love with her. I don't know how it felt to be in love with someone.

After we parted our mouth we were both struggling to breathe. I looked at her as she also stated at me. She smiled and i smiled back.

"Is this how it feels to kiss a girl."

"I don't know it's also my first time."

" You can't be serious."

" You're just a good kisser, i don't believe it's your first time."

" Stop it already Maya." I picked up my phone and i was shocked to see the time. It was already past four in the evening and i had promised my mom that i would be back before four.

"I think i will be on my way i'm already late."

" You want to leave already i thought a sleepover would be great."

" I promised my mom that i would be back home before four and now it almost a half past four."

" It's okay do you mind a goodbye kiss."

I kissed her and left her room as she trailed behind me. I found her mom in the leaving room watching a soap in Netflix. I informed her that i wanted to leave and she said that Jasmine wants to say something to me before i left. I ran directly into her room and found her watching something on her phone. We said our last goodbyes and she gave me a box. I opened the box and found a watch. It was so beautiful i said thank you to her but i had nothing to give back.

I thought of something that she won't forget but i wasn't sure about it. I knew she wouldn't be mad at me so i asked her to kiss me as a goodbye but she declined. I told her that i had nothing at hand to give to her and tomorrow would be too late and i can't promise to see her. I told her that i would also be leaving tomorrow she felt so sad and she closed the gap between us claiming my lips with hers.

A tear escaped my eyes and hers as well as we said our last goodbye. She lead me out of her room and we headed downstairs and found her mom and Maya sitted. I gave her mom a goodbye hug as well as Maya. They all said goodbye they wished me a successful training as i wished them a nice flight.This was actually our last day to be together.

I rode on my bike and i left for home. Letting my mind play the flashbacks of everything in my head. I could smile to myself until i arrived home. It was a busy and a tiresome day. After all it was a good day.
