Chapter 2

1030 Words
Where did everything start to go wrong… is it when Eula had made eye contact with Jeremy making her heartbeat abnormally or perhaps, when she had embarrassed herself in front of the crowd processing her love for him. She doesn't know, but one thing is sure and that is she wanted to make everything right this time around. "Hey, Eula, stop sleeping. It's already time for lunch," she could feel someone tap her on her shoulders and say something to her. But she didn't know what the person was tapping her shoulder was talking about due to her drowsiness. She was already at the moment wherein she could finally fall into slumber. Still, this stubborn person wouldn't give up on poking her. Eula grumblingly shooed the hand, busily poking her as if she was some sort of a squishy stress-relieving ball. "Come on, Eula. Else you won't be able to get your favorite sweet and sour braised pork." Eula's five senses alerted the instant she heard about her sweet and sour braised pork. In just a blink of an eye, she leaped from her seat and bolted her way towards the room's exit, this sight of Eula looking as if her life was on the line earned a chuckle from her dear friend. Though she doesn't really get how her dear friend could get to eat the same lunch every day, she would still support her since it was only the means to see an energetic and leaping Eula. Seeing her friend, who was idle like a turtle earlier, moved like a crazed cheetah because of food. The friend hurriedly chased after Eula, afraid she would sweep clean the whole sweet and sour braised pork served in the cafeteria. "What took you so long?" Eula immediately inquired the moment her friend sat on the opposite side of her. She then handed her the food she had ordered for her dear friend. "It's not my fault that you have long legs. A single step for you is like three steps for me," Eula's friend grumbled while taking the food that Eula had ordered for her. "Wow, what seems to be the occasion? You didn't order a sweet and sour braised pork for me?" "It's because I could only get one serving of it," Eula pointed at the serving she had and gave a knowing look at her friend. "And since there was only a single serving of it, I should get the reward of having it all because this is my favorite dish." "Well, can't deny that." Eula's friend replied and started to eat the food that Eula had gotten for her. It didn't take long for them to finish their meal, and since the cafeteria had started to get crowded, both of them took the plates they used and started to make their way to where the used plates were being placed. While they were getting nearer to the designated area where they could place their plates. Eula accidentally hit someone making the plate that had some remaining sauce on it accidentally poured on the unlucky person's clothes. "I'm sorry." Eula apologized as she hurriedly took out a handkerchief in her pocket and tried to wipe off the stain on the unlucky person's uniform. "It's alright." Eula stopped wiping the stain on the uniform of the said person. She became totally mesmerized by how the voice of the person sounded. It was a voice laced with the sound of spring, completely refreshing that it felt like flowers would bloom just by hearing the voice of the said person. And she was sure that she even listened to the chirping of the birds the moment the person she had accidentally splashed with the sauce of the sweet and sour braised pour talked. Eula's face started to heat up when she perceived that she had made weird and stupid thoughts in her mind. From her neck, redness began to climb up to her face, and the tips of her ears were not spared. She would have become the center of attention in the whole cafeteria because of her stupid appearance were if not for her friend beside her, giving her a timely helping hand with her current predicament. "How about this, since my friend here accidentally stained your uniform. Why not she pay for the washing of your clothes?" Though Eula wasn't satisfied with what her friend had suggested since it would mean that she would need to use her savings. Still thinking that it was her fault, she reluctantly agreed to what her friend suggested in her mind. "No need, I have extra clothes in my locker," their schoolmate said before flashing a sweet smile, making Eula feel butterflies in her stomach. "Just make sure not to repeat it again since not all people would be forgiving enough." After the student had finally said what was on his mind, he excused himself and headed toward the locker room to change his clothes. Meanwhile, Eula could only smile in relief when she learned that her savings would not be used to pay for the washing of the schoolmate's uniform. Her gaze followed the student who was nice enough to her, and a brewing sense of admiration flashed through her eyes. From that day on, Eula started to get information about the student whom she had stained the uniform with her favorite dish. She had found out the student was a senior at school and had quite a big reputation for being a gentleman. Every girls in school had even voted for him as the number one guy they would want to date. Eula entirely agrees with what they posted since she personally experienced how the senior was nice to her. It was just a surprise to Eula that she had only known of this information now. She then lightly smacked her head for being so outdated to the latest news about their school. "Jeremy Evans," She mumbled the senior's name, who she was starting to have a crush on. A sweet smile flashed on her lips before she traced the picture of the man flashed on her computer screen. "Nice meeting you."
