Tyler was the first to reach Petal, Stefan following closely behind with his hands buried deep inside the pockets of his jacket. His eyes remained fixed on the direction Christopher had disappeared in, his expression carrying the same suspicion that had settled over his face the moment he had spotted them together. “Was that Christopher?” “No.” Stefan's brows rose. He slowly turned his head toward Petal, staring at her. Petal simply stared back. “That was Christopher.” “Since you already knew, why did you ask?” Petal retorted, the irritation in her voice obvious. “I’m sure you two didn’t come here to ask questions you already know the answers to.” Stefan and Tyler exchanged a brief glance before simultaneously taking a deep breath.
