Gwen immediately felt a wave of cold shivers run down her spine.
Tina looked like every bit of colour was immediately drained from her face.
And Adam, looked like a fresh surge of anger flooded his veins.
“Have you lost your mind?!” he didn’t wait for the question to settle between them before he retorted. “What do you mean by that?”
“What do you mean?” Petal added, her eyes on Christopher. “What do you mean, one of them is human?”
“The second the arrived at the basement, an alarm went off,” Christopher explains calmly. “That alarm isn’t one that goes off simply because someone walks in. It only goes off when humans are detected.”
