Aiden lay on his soft mattress, with his hands stuck in between his lips, the cool, calm breeze made him shiver.

The calm breeze shook his tangled hair, his bare hands kept searching for the blankets that he remembered keeping next to him, Rubbing his hazy eyes he wrapped the quilt over my body. The warmth of the quilt, at last, put his shivering to a halt.

In his closed eyes, he could feel a little girl, with long black hair, she looked really scared and hugged him the moment she set her eyes on him.

Just then, the bright eyes smiled down on him, she took his hands taking him into a forest, a thick one.

The palace bell rang so loud, that his sleep was been interrupted.

"Aiden!" Eris calls, — Eris is prince Aiden's servant from a very young age, making them close like brothers.

Aiden rolls to and fro feeling very uncomfortable with the noise. He could hear him call from the hall.

"Aiden!" Eris opens the door walking in, "You need to get up, you're gonna be late for the family breakfast" he says, opening the curtains.

"Can't you shut it!" Aiden opens his eyes.

"The King demands your presence," he says, with a smile on his face.

"Can you tell them-"

"Them? You mean the King?"

"Tell THEM to stop ringing those bells in the morning it's too loud!" He yawns trying to talk.

"Those are the time-"

"That's an order Eris"

"Yes Sir, but they are under your father's command" he paused as he realised what he had just sent him.

"And you are undermined! now get out!" He yells.

"Do you need me to take this out?" He says, holding the white robe hung on the window.

"Don't dare!" His eyes suddenly turn cold.

"I'm sorry, it's been there for too long"

"Aiden?" A woman's voice calls behind his door.

He quickly gives Eris a sign to go check, letting her know he was showering.

"What?"

"Tell her, I AM SHOWERING!" he emphasizes whispering angrily.

"Aiden?" She calls again, Eris waits for him to close the curtains before opening the door.

"Leda" Eris laughs.

"Eris? Where is Aiden?" She says, trying to peep.

"He would soon be out any moment from now, he-" he clears his throat, hearing him fall. "Excuse me" he slowly closes the door.

Leda was Aiden and Kallias's guardian and physician for the past thirteen years.

A long table is set in the middle of a hall, it had ten chairs. Varieties of food were placed on the table by women in white, they had a scarf tied to their heads.

King Aindrea sat waiting for his children to show up.

"Good morning My lord" Kallias smiles, giving him a peck on the cheek and finds her seat.

"Kallias" his smile widened. "Did you have trouble sleeping?" He asked.

"Of course not, father"

"That's good, where's-"

"I'm sorry I'm late," Aiden says, walking into the room.

"It's fine, have a seat" Aiden pulled a chair, sitting opposite Kallias, she gave a big smile staring at him.

"Your highness?" Hera greeted, pouring wine into their cup, Hera— Kallias maid, two weeks ago, drunk Aiden had taken her to his chambers making love with her, after that Hera fell in love with him, asking for more and last night she and Aiden had a steamy one after several attempts.

She got to his cup and gently poured the wine, she narrowed her gaze to him but Aiden didn't glance back.

"So how's training going?" Aindrea interrupted.

"I heard, sir Helios beat you yesterday" Kallias giggled sipping her wine, her eyes locked with Aiden's

"I don't know where you heard that" he cleared his throat, as his hands brushed Hera's.

"Hera told me" she choked, leaving his presence, Aiden darts at her, and back at Kallias.

"You should listen to everything you hear" he rolls his eyes at her, everyone knows how much Aiden cares for his younger sister but he still acted like he never cared.

"Do you still have your sweet nightmares?" She teased, Hera glanced at him, before she left the room.

"That's enough" Aindrea laughed, seeing Aiden's reaction, his face sniffed.

"I'm just saying, the one with the eyes, she was your crush" Kallias continued.

"What?" King Aindrea raises his gaze.

"You didn't know? Aiden told me once he was in love..."

"I have lost my appetite" he drops his cup, about to leave.

"Where are you going?" Kallias asked.

"Training! And don't come" he turned back, giving her a wicked smirk.

"Whatever" Kallias rolled her eyes.

"Tell me more about his crush"

"No, father" He heard them say before he left the room. "It's a secret" Kallias giggled.

"Eris?" Aiden walked into his chambers, finding the wooden floor wet, Eris had a bucket and brush, scrubbing the floor.

"My lord" Eris adjusted facing him, Aiden raised his gaze at him.

"You're working?" He smirks wickedly.

"Is there something I can help you with?" Eris asked, furrowing his brows.

"You're cleaning?" He says again, laughing harder.

"Yes I am cleaning, I clean every day," Eris says, gritting.

"Hmm? then why are my boots muddy?" He walked into the room.

"Because you-" he sneezed.

"Now you're sneezing in my chambers?" Aiden roared.

"That's nature" Eris argued. He turned back at him, the audacity he had but Eris was like a childhood friend beside that he would have had him beheaded.

"Get my sword, I'm going hunting," He says, rolling his eyes away.

"Hunting?" Eris blinked thousand times, he only went hunting under two conditions, overthinking or anger.

"Yeah, me and Sir Lason?" He says, picking a bow.

"Just you both?" He dropped his brush getting up, Eris prayed he wouldn't count him in, most of the time, he was used as an acting prey, which was terrifying.

"Yes dummy, and oh you are coming with me" Aiden's voice echoed into his ears, he was going? how would he escape that?

"Why!" He spitted.

"Because SOMEONE needs to carry my bow!" He replies, Eris got up, heading out of the chambers.

"And that's me?" he asked, peeping by the door.

"Eris!" He yelled.

"On it!" He slammed the door behind him, as he left the chambers, heading to his armour store.

An hour later, Aiden, Sir Lason and Eris were heading out of the palace into the town, villages and market square.
