Once upon a time, in a land where magic was abolished by a ruthless King who despite the sight of magic. A prophecy ruled the kingdom which made him furious.
"A witch was to become Queen" This aggravated the King of Harcadia.
The prophecy described the baby girl as one with white hair, blessed by the moon goddess. Some prophecy had it as a child born with blindness, while some prophecy had it as a child born with the eyes of Selene. It was said that this prophecy child would be birthed by the first full moon of a year, which wasn't given.
King Aindrea of Harcadia, was a great King who hated magic a lot, he believed it was all for the use of evil and destruction, he believed nothing good came out of magic. King Aindrea made an order to kill all the witches and wizards no matter how many armies he loses, In this, he succeeded and wiped the trace of the magic away from the land. He dominated so many small kingdoms and wiped out the witches and sorcerers, he didn't spare anyone including the old, women and children even babies. His army grew more and more into many villages, with all he did he never had a child to call his own which troubled him a lot, he didn't have an heir who would take over him when he decides to rest.
As the night crept in, King Aindrea sat in the room with his governors, while they drank and partied for his victory of conquering a small village. A man burst into the room.
"Sire!" A manservant ran into his court, laying on the floor he covered his head with his hands.
"How dare you!" His voice echoed around the room, his governors watched him and his servant.
"I'm sorry to barge in Your highness!" He says, with a shaky voice. "I have brought to you disturbing news"
King Aindrea stared at his governors and back to him, he laughed.
"What do you mean disturbing news? Can't you see? I'm celebrating!" He laughed, while the others followed him.
"There's a prophecy that goes around the village!" He says, lifting his head slowly.
"And that is?"
"Forgive me, your highness!" He raised his gaze at him. "It is said that a witch would become Queen!"
"That impossible! What rubbish do you bring here!" He spat getting up, as he spoke another servant rushed in, kneeling before him.
"Forgive me, Your highness!" She says, holding her dress as her hands trembled.
"Do you have disturbing news too?" He asks.
"No Sire! I have brought great news to you Sire" she says with a bright voice.
"Spill" he ordered.
"The Queen is with child!" She says, smiling with her eyes glued to the floor.
"What?" His mood becomes brighter.
"Yes Sire, she wants me to let you know" he attempts to move, he darts at the young man before him and paused.
"I want him executed," he says, leaving the room.
"Sire!" He begged, crawling towards the King. The female servant trembled as she got up and followed the King, his guards picked him up taking him out of the court.
(Enchanting) the guards moved away from him, drawing their swords. King Aindrea turned back, seeing a blue flame cover the young man, he immediately had the form of a woman.
"Aindrea" she called in a sweet tune, her eyes and hair glowed like the moon.
"Seize her immediately!" He ordered, his guards came forward, but were blown away as she raised her hands to them.
She glanced back at him, her eyes glowed more.
"It's a blessing your son would live a long life, but for your evil deeds you shall be killed in the hands of a witch, one with beauty!" She says, before vanishing into thin air.
He took a deep breath and a minute later he was laughing, King Aindrea pulled out his sword and killed everyone present that day including his governors and the maiden who had delivered the news of his wife, in fear of the news spreading.
King Aindrea from that day ordered the search for wizards and witches to be resumed. He didn't have rest until he was sure that no witch or sorcerers survived, every night he was haunted by the same dream, which made him lose his sleep.
"Your highness, the villagers still talk about the birth of a witch" Ales, his right-hand trusted man, says standing in front of him. Ales- was a man with wisdom, he was a man behind the King, people believed.
"How foolish could they be?" He says, with so much anger in his voice.
"I heard something, informative Sire," he says, holding a scroll in his hand.
"What's that?" He leaned forward, invested in what he had to say.
"The prophecy says she would be birthed in the first full moon of next year"
"A full moon?" He narrowed his gaze to him.
"Yes, some said she would be born with white hair while some said she would be born with blindness"
"Would she be the witch to kill me?" His voice softened.
"I believe so" hearing this he sighed, leaning backwards. His dreams about carrying a baby with moon eyes, troubled him a lot, if she was to kill him why would he be adoring her?
"A child born with blindness?" He laughed.
"It's said she would be born with moon eyes" King Aindrea darts at him. "Does this trouble you?" He asked seeing the worry and frustration on his face.
"Mooneyes?" He felt like Ales was reading his mind, so she was the one that was going to kill him, he felt more rage at the fact that his killer was a woman.
"Yes Sire," he says, a little suspicious.
"At least I know what she looks like" he laughed aloud, and Ales followed after him. "I want every child born with blindness killed by the next full moon!" His eyes filled with rage.
"Sire how- that" Ales stammered, with confusion.
"Put a price on it, anyone who sees a child born with blindness or moon eyes would be rewarded heavily!"
"Yes, sire!" Ales says, stepping away from him.
