Charlotte’s POV
“Boys are dumb,” I said to Cyn as we got ready for the day.
Cyn wasn’t in the room when I got back last night, and because I had fallen asleep as soon as my head hit my pillow, I hadn’t seen her come in. I could feel that the atmosphere was a bit tense between us as we got up and freshened up, so my statement was meant as an icebreaker.
Cyn let out a surprised chuckle. “Is this about Grayson?” Cyn asked once she had stopped laughing. I nodded my head, and she furrowed her eyebrows in question. “What did he do last night?”
“He told me we can’t be together because our ranks are so different,” I said.
