Cynthia’s POV
I couldn’t lie, it was very boring.
I was sure that Chloe and Millicent thought I was Charlie because they were both acting so standoff-ish. I expected that behaviour from Chloe since she wasn’t on the best terms with Charlie, but Millicent was a different story. I hadn’t been rude to her or anything during or after our first meeting, so I at least expected a warm reception, even if she was acting fake to Charlie, but she seemed to be keeping the same distance from me as Chloe was.
I didn’t like it. Even though I should have been trying my best to keep talking to the minimum to prevent my headache from getting worse, I was so used to being on good terms with everyone that I was not having a good time in the silence.
