Cynthia’s POV
“My mate is here,” Charlie said excitedly.
Usually, Charlie’s smile rarely ever made her eyes wrinkles appear, so I knew she must have been feeling thrilled for them to be so prominent. It was the first time I had ever seen her wear such an excited smile. She was literally glowing.
After spending the night in the infirmary, I was feeling relatively normal, save for the headache that seemed like it didn’t want to disappear. I had decided that it would be best for Charlie and me to return to her room to have breakfast together. Charlie had agreed, and thus, we found ourselves sitting in front of a beautiful spread of breakfast treats. The small table was slowly becoming a favourite of mine since it was where Charlie and I spent most of the time talking to each other.
